According to the twitterverse, if Kareem joins our class we go to #1 on Rivals and Scout - at least for the moment.  This would be a huge addition regardless, but that's an extra feather in the cap.

Let's hope for the best!  But remember if things don't go our way, please be civil.

Go Blue!

I'm doubling down on the uncivil if that happens.  I'm posting about bag men; daddy pastors who need $$$ for their church; DILDOZ; O$U, A$U, F$U, RUTGER$; we can't haz nice things; DILDOZ; Beilein can't recruit; we only get 3 stars; DILDOZ.

Awesome, but how do you leave out Urban Liar and Mork "interplanatary recruiting from the weeds" Dantonio, because somehow, they are involved if we don't get him).  Also, don't forget to reference Deshawn Hand, Stephan Diggs and RoJo, and to make the point that we don't really want him because every time we get the #1 RB in the country, they turn out to be a bust!

Finally,  RUTGER$?!  Putting the $$ sign after perhaps the saddest B10 program was just awesome

Who get so bent over following recruiting and starting a thread about it. I mean, this is a player that may be around to help the team we love for 3-5 years, so why not have some enthusiasm? Like others have said in the past and present, as long as you're not stalking the kid or being an ass on social media, what's the problem?

Posted it early because I'm about to step into meetings for a few hours.  Just thought the info would be helpful since folks always ask the same questions - i.e., where can I watch? when is it?  how does it affect the team ranking?  how should I behave if things don't happen the way I want it to happen?

To be absolutely fair, three hours would be in the range of the blog being ahead of the curve. We've had these threads appear 6-8 hours beforehand, and in extreme scenarios, on the wrong Thursday (or whatever day of the week) altogether. Yeah, it stands a good chance of being pushed towards the middle of the first page of threads before then, but it certainly isn't the most overeager the blog has been.

Bush was a true 50/50 where both team insiders thought he was theirs until late Tue nite.  Said he told Jim Tue nite and that filtered out Wed morn causing the movement and last second change of thoughts of many.

Kareem has had a bazillion crystal ballz our way - many for weeks on end - and Jim is not recruiting any other rbs.  I do think him not coming here would be a complete shock for the staff.  Not unprecedented (see hand) but not like Bush.  There is exactly 1 crystal ball in for FSU.

(p.s. I dont buy the silent since summer thing on Bush, Bush said he called coach last nite to tell him his decision and got a big reaction from it - not something you do when you've been a silent for 5 months)

I believe Sam when he reported that Bush silented in the summer.  Now, is a silent commit that stays silent and puts off the public commit for like 5 months actually a commit?  I don't think so.  I don't have a great explination for why both staffs seemed so confident.  Webb seemed to imply that Bush's dad was telling Sam Bush was going to choose UM for a long time except for a little bit of shakiness when Durkin left.

Sam did not give off the same confident vibes about Walker.  Seems that no one knows exactly what Walker is gonig to do.  Maybe not even Walker yet.

I mean, can you really blame Hand?  By the time he committed, it was clear that Hoke was on a downward trajectory.  Honestly wouldn't have blamed anyone for not picking UM at that point.  Really glad Jabrill stuck with it.  With Walker it's different.  There's no red flags committing to this program under Harbaugh now.  This would sting much worse than Hand to me.

The momentum has been all Michigan for Walker since he decommitted from OSU, but supposedly FSU has made a late push. It's encouraging that all the insiders have stuck with their Michigan predictions, but I don't think this one is over. Also telling is that Sam Webb won't gut feeling this one, while he did for Bush. I still think we land Walker, but it's no slam dunk.

Since you listened this morning, did they say anything about technical difficulties with the website or an intern calling in sick?  Yesterday's podcasts still aren't posted, and not being an early riser...

There's some very loud street work going on outside, and I desperately need some addictive audio to drown it out.

its crootin - anything can happen.  Not saying it is over - saying the way the staff has focused just on our 2 major rbs for months as opposed to wrs where we throw out a new offer every week shows they would be shocked by it too.

Walker scheduled his announcement the day after harbaugh visited.... just as Bush did.  So my assumption is at that point last week everything seemed in line.  Could it change in past 48 hrs - sure its 'crootin - see Mike weber.  But we'd be out offering new rbs if the staff was as shaky as outsiders have become in past week.

and Sam made cryptic comments yesterday morning and today about whether or not the similar timing means something. It was clear (to me anyway) that whatever he was hinting at was a good thing for Michigan, but then it was countered by his open statement that he doesn't have a gut feeling, which means Walker hasn't told Sam privately he's coming to UM.

The one thing Sam has mentioned numerous times over the last few weeks about UM's recruitment is that supposedly Walker has developed a close relationship with Tyrone Wheatley, in part because both Kareem and Tyrone have something unfortunate in common: both lost their fathers to homicide while they were in high school. Tyrone has been able to speak with Kareem about that in a way that most recruiters can't.

Whether that means anything about Walker's final decision is another matter entirely.

visit suggests to me that Harbaugh perhaps gave them both a soft ultimatum.  Something like, " OK, we've been holding a spot for you, but you're too important to the program, and I need to know if you're coming or not."  With the thought that Harbaugh would still have some time to move on and make other offers if they weren't coming.
