Tee Grizzly’s subject matter is absolutely terrible. He stole laptops and he was part of a jewelry store attempted robbery in Kentucky. He had the means and support to do better than that.

Appreciate the support, but...hopefully he's a changed man (which he may well be). Stealing laptops from other folks who are also just "tryin' to survive", is not cool. When you are also a student, it's hard to make the argument that you need to do such things to survive, regardless of your background.

Yeah, there is no viable reason to steal other people's laptops to survive. Now, if you want to steal shit to make money and then write songs later to justify it and appeal to people who think taking what isn't yours is being "real", then yeah, makes sense. But that's a lot harder to drop over a beat.
