Let's be honest. JT Barrett, Haskins, and Fields were far more than just mediocre College QBs.  And while we're on the subject, how many Saban / Alabama QBs have really shined in the NFL ? They're very good CF QBs but OK-decent NFL QBs.  But so what ? They sure have the trophies to offset their "mediocre" QBs

A really good college QB that I think will struggle in the pros, but makes total sense why he'd make the jump.  I am interested to see how OSU looks next year with Meyer not around and them having to break in a new QB.  I assume they'll still be really good but Fields being able to immediately play last year saved them having to roll with Tathan Martell or an unknown.

I mean, Meyer was absolutely around on the team and talked openly of speaking with Day.  He was still a mentor.  And there's a world of difference "breaking in" a former top QB recruit who did play somewhat at UGa and rolling with Tathan Martell, who transferred to Miami and was immediately told to play WR after being passed by a redshirt frosh at QB and then being suspended in the offseason.

OSU's offense could literally be better next year. The defense is another story though. They lose 4 linebackers and the best CB they had - can't think of his name. Plus I think they lose the defensive tackles who played so well this year. They are going to need the offense to put up a ton of points.

The table is set, The Buckeyes are already sitting,  and OSU isn't going away.

Just too many 4/5*s waiting their turn. The will have the machine running within a game or two.

Nice to hope for it, but UM is likely 2 years out from giving them a competitive game.

It will happen soon, the younger staff should give this program a wakeup.
