Josh Wallace was superb tonight.

Thank you, Don Brown.

Wallace had some ups and downs this year, but tonight he was terrific. It’s appropriate that a guy who played for Don Brown helps Michigan win a national title.

Josh Wallace as a dude tonight.

Josh Wallace and the entire secondary was great tonight. Mikey got a little handsy in the first half, didn't always trust himself. But Josh was always where he needed to be. That defense was so complementary. Mason Graham and Kenneth Grant were outstanding. The whole D-line.

Did you know that this defense gave up fewer points and yards to Washington than Alabama? True. The Huskies totaled 287 yards, 1 yard less than Alabama produced.

He has Superman playing on the opposite side but I think people underestimated him all year.  I know we had some great OL portal guys but where would we be with someone other than him at CB2

Entire defensive backfield was superb - hell, the entire defense was just incredible.

More than anything, I'll remember the tackling. So many would-be big plays thwarted by tenacious tackling.

Beautifully schemed, expertly performed.

What a team!

Go Blue! National Champs!

Michigan fielded one of the greatest defenses in college football history with only 5 top 250 recruits and zero five stars. I don’t know how they did it.

I don’t remember which it was m, Will was either a 4* composite and 5* in 247 rankings or vice versa. I do think it was the latter and he was a composite 5*.

Your point holds true. 3* Kris Jenkins, 3* (I don’t know how) Kenneth Grant. 3* Michael Barrett. 3* converted WR Sainristil. 3* Rod Moore. Coastal Carolina transfer Josiah Stewart. UMass transfer Josh Wallace.

All glory to Jesse Minter, Steve Clinkscale, Mike Elston, and Jim Harbaugh for their scheme, development and culture.

I gave up wearing michigan gear to work every Friday before a game day after the COVID season, and I'm never going back tomy old ways.

I also have an all M themed Christmas tree I typically only put up when its a good year to put me on the mood to celebrate M erry Christmas, but then and after the last 2 years of losses in the playoff, and the no more shirts to work thing, well, i left the tree in the box to see what would happen, and viola

I'm the George Costanza of M fans, they clearly only do well when I don't show off my fandom.

Wearing Michigan Boxers and Socks seems to be OK though :)

Junior Colson stood tall. One hand wrapped, one in a cast, and he looked like he was favoring a leg toward the end of the game. From humble beginnings in a Haitian orphanage to hoisting the trophy.

Been hesitant to say this is the greatest Michigan defense ever due to the back end. Felt comfortable saying that with the front which is unbelievably good and deep. Last night what the secondary did as a whole was mind blowing to me. Play after Play after Play when if they don't make one tips momentum the other way! Greatest Defense of all time for Michigan IMHO

What a storybook ending for him. Played on probably the worst FBS teams ever assembled at UMass only to cap his career with a prominent role on a national title winning team featuring one of the best defenses in modern history.
