Jordan Poole

Submitted by Blue-Ray on December 30th, 2020 at 1:09 PM

The Golden State Warriors picked up the 3rd year option on Jordan Poole’s contract choosing to keep him with the team and avoiding sending him into the free agent pool.

Poole was the 1st-round draft pick for the Warriors after leaving Michigan early for the NBA after only 2 seasons.

Way to go, Jordan!

I wish.  No, it's almost always somebody like the OP for this work of art thread title who hits 100 MgoPoints and simply HAS to start a thread.  You know, because now they finally can.

And because most of them, again like the OP, are infrequent visitors to the site and even more infrequent contributors they dont know the house rules.  So they manage to violate them right away because they dont know any better and then, if they're like the dude a week or so ago who made reference to getting upvotes for his post (which obviously didnt happen) they get mad and storm off.

Rinse, repeat.

I truly apologize for the “ButterTitle”. Could have sworn I typed more than “Jordan Poole” as the subject line. Result speaks differently though. {At least the Body looks good though!}

Neg away. I deserve it and expected it after such an irresponsible act. Realized it right I clicked save and saw the catastrophic damage and there was no way to edit. (bigger problem IMHO)

If the mods could please add a word or few to the title, it would be greatly appreciated. The subject actual subject was a good thing to discuss.

Again, Sincerely Sorry my haste hijacked people who thought the worst’s emotions for a few seconds pre-click.

Neg me to 99 if needed.

It's just annoying to see a post with nothing but someone's name and have no idea what it is about. Did he die? Did he get released? How hard is it to type, "Jordan Poole's option picked up?" It's not just a matter of following the rules. It's a matter of having consideration for the blog's other participants.

What is it about posting a players name and expecting us to read the posters minds that is so compelling?

All you have to do is provide context besides the name, this cannot be that hard.

Happy for Jordan and glad this got brought up, but please put a little more thought into the post next time.

It's because they dont know any better.  They're not on the board when the hammering occurs so they never see the board angst over shitty thread titles (and other things).

Face it - there are a ton of rules (some written down by Brian but damn hard to find) and some unwritten (that you learn by being here for a while) that are easy for relative newbies to violate.

I mean how hard would it be to give posters the ability to edit original threads like we used to be able to do pre-Huel?  Or maybe provide a pop-up window when you hit "save" that listed a few of the more egregious thread violations that required you to click "I read and understand" prior to the thread being posted?  Oh well....maybe some day.

First assumption was that is was a stats post.  Contract post would be my second assumption.  If the post was about his girlfriend then I would require more info in the headline.

EDIT: Thank you Blue Vet, and congratulations to Mr. Poole.
