That was not the only reason, c'mon! He mentions Bo by name twice and said other flattering things about his time in Ann Arbor. He added Iowa City as an afterthought. Answered Ann Arbor right away when she asked which was his favorite.

Winning totally aside, he would be such an entertaining coach here.  His mannerisms are truly bizarre--I just want to watch him to say what he's going to say next.

The intensity is palpable even in that fluff interview.

You feel like he is on the verge of lashing out at the interviewer, "WHY THE %)#@ ARE YOU ASKING ME THESE %(#)@ING QUESTIONS WHEN I COULD BE BREAKING DOWN SOME M%)#@$#F$)#ING FILM FOR NEXT WEEK"S M$)&@#$#@*ING GAME!" but someone off camera is telling him, "Keep it under control Jimmy.  You can do this."

Unfortunately his wife has a slighly different answer (allegedly) and that does come into play guys.

All the single guys dont understand this but speaking as someone who moved a wife from Salt Lake City to Reno to San Fransisco to Lansing to Cleveland over about seven years when my career was getting started it matters.

Pretty sure my wife would move to pretty much anywhere for $8 million per year.

And if his dream is to coach Michigan, and she shoots it down for her own selfish reasons, then maybe Jim should just come to A2 alone.  I'm sure he'll be able to find someone more agreeable.

/although personally I think this whole "wife won't leave CA" business is BS.  He's a coach, they move.  A lot.

because it's the person who you want to be with, not the location.

Locations are nice, but it's not everything. I'm a single guy, but if I found the the proverbial "one" I'd move. It's be hard because Ann Arbor has been home for my entire life and my family's here. But you do what you have to do.

My sister-in-law has followed my brother from Milan to Evansville, Indiana to now Belleville, IL(he works in St. Louis). He probably has a few more stops in him as he climbs the corporate ladder. They have been married two years.

I totally agree.  My wife would have moved back to Australia after 2 moves, you clearly have a good match there.

But, for some reason, I envision Harbaugh's wife telling him with great sincerity how she feels, followed by several seconds of silence as he looks thoughtful.  Then he looks up and says "I'm sorry, what was that? I was thinking about me."

He's clearly not like the rest of us (thank goodness).

Getting hit by a mail truck and breaking your leg?

Iowa City sounds dangerous.  I've driven through once, and had the windows wound up and the doors locked.
