Jeremy Ruckert to OSU

Obviously not a shock. Mustapha Muhammad and Luke Ford are the focus now.

Pretty hard to turn down one of the best college coaches in the game. And especially considering OSU is moving to a more pass-oriented offiense next season, I don't think it's that insane of a move.

Meyer is always going to get boatloads of five star recruits. Accept it and move on.

Well it isn't like Ohio State's tight ends aren't getting drafted. Urban's last 2 starting tight ends were Nick Vannett and Jeff Heuerman who were both drafted in the 3rd round. Ohio State's incumbents starter at TE is similarly getting 3rd round draft grades in the preseason.

Considering 99% of their offensive sets are with 3 to 4 wide receivers, I'd say this kid is real bright. Persuasion and manipulation at it's finest I tell ya. This clearly was a push to keep him out of the conference rivals rosters. Nothing more and nothing less.

I'm one of the few here who think Butt was so underutilized his last 2 years here. He caught 46 balls his senior year and I personally think he should of had 70-80 catches that year. That's 6-7 catches a game. I just don't get how he didn't get the ball thrown his way 15 times a game. Just my opinion but he was a Boss and was so under utilized it was sad imo. Let's hope the batch of TE get lots of looks so we can land a elite TE prospect

"Jeremy, we are going to change our offense..... to feature the tight end...... and you will be the all time NCAA reception leader .... for a tight end."

"You don't want to go to Michigan........You will have to compete for receptions with 4 -5 other tight ends on the roster!"

Jeremy you fool .........you still will have to compete with other tight ends in an offense where the tight end is ...... an after-thought ......... in formations that never use more than 1 tight end ............. and sometimes none at all!

Not surprising.

Definitely looking forward to uptick in recruiting, though.  The Bama and OSU's of the world never take their foot off the gas.  We can't either.  Can't imagine what Harbaugh would do with a 5* starting lineup and high caliber guy behind him.

Man I thought my maize tinted glasses were strong, but some of you crack me up.

Early this year= Nico Collins said he committed because Harbaugh's new hire Frey was going install a lot of spread/4 WR sets. Reaction: OMG Harbaugh is such a genius, glad to see he's adapting.

This guy= says they are going to install more tight end looks. Reaction: THAT LYING SON OF A BITCH URBAN MEYER
