Only 24/7 has an easy-to-find history for individual recruits and even that does not provide much information. You can see 24/7's composite and individual grades over time, but not their relative position in the class. The 24/7 composite has ranked Howard three times, moving him up a bit in the last rerank of October 2022.

However, the 24/7 individual rankings have not moved at all. He debuted as an 86 and remains an 86, which implies that any movement in the 24/7 composite came from another site's re-evaluation.

Since he plays for a prominent high school in Chicago, I do not think he's been un- or underscouted. In other words, nothing in his ranking history or general profile necessarily flags Howard as a late riser or undiscovered gem.

2023 football recruit, 3-star DT out of Chicago. He's been committed to Wisconsin since June. Michigan and Nebraska both offered on Oct 26th. His offer list is the entire MAC, Wisconsin, Illinois, Nebraska, and Michigan.

I did a quick read on him.  The article said, "he has a 6-9 wing span".  The picture showed him with a very solid build vs a soft body type. Once he gets some time in a P5 weight training program watch out!

We have come a long way from beefing up Carlo Kemp, Donovan Jeter and trying to position switch Ben Mason, to having an endless supply of DTs. Put this big fella in the oven and let him cook for a little bit behind Graham, Benny, Grant and Rooks and let him shine around 2025.

I appreciate the post and the link.....I would also love to know the sport and position this guy plays.  Legit did not know if this was football or basketball.  Maybe I saw J. Howard and assumed basketball.

You get a thumbs up for me when you include the position and class for any recruiting info.

We will take any J. Howards… Juwan, Jett, Jace.  If your name last name is Howard and the first initial in your name is “J”, you belong at Michigan.
