It's Thursday, everything sucks. What are you drinking?

Well we can all agree that no football sucks, Covid sucks, it's a damn bummer we aren't going to see some of our players play one more year BUT there's still some tasty alcohol choices to commiserate with.

So what are you drinking and what else sucks that I missed? I'm finishing up work at Modern Times and having a hoppy pilsner humble sea collab called something I don't remember.

I work later Tonight, so no alcohol for me. I'm drinking diet pepsi. Not sure what diet pop (soda for some of you) I like the best. Coke, pepsi mt.dew, dr.pepper, root beer, sprite, 7 up, rc cola? When I was a kid in the 70s we always did the pepsi challenge with coke. I think I split 50/50. IMO pepsi is sweeter and coke has more of a acid finish but I like both.

If you don't mind the neurological risks, I would say it's a three horse race, in no particular order:

1. Pepsi Zero Sugar (formerly Pepsi Max)

2. Coke Zero Sugar Cherry (formerly Coke Zero Cherry)

3. Diet Dr. Pepper Cherry

Seriously- I can't overstate the addictive nature of these 3 diet drinks. The only meaningful "value-add" that any of them have over the others, is from Pepsi Zero Sugar: way more caffeine than the others...

No matter what though, cycle through them all every 1-3 months, and you won't be sorry....like I now am for writing a love note to diet sodas on a college football blog.

/s? Unfortunately but unreservedly no, not /s.

It's been about 5 years since the last time I dosed on acid.

I've eaten mushrooms a couple of times since then.

I think I like it more as a (semi) mature adult. I'm more in tune with my body and the chaos of the universe.

Although I'm having a fit because I'm ready to go but have to wait for the sitter to pick up the kid

The whole thing is hilarious on multiple levels. The go fund me with the billion dollar goal, grifting money off people for a wall you told them for two years Mexico would pay for, and the genius Steve Bannon not being able to structure the whole thing in a way that did not get him arrested. He only took 4% of the money. Had he just disclosed in the fine print that there would be management and/or fund raising fees collected he would probably be fine.

Millennial daughter visiting on a beautiful evening. She made Sipsmith VJOP gin and tonics that includes a splash of St Germaine. Add a wedge of lime (plus a couple of olives, which draws a grimace from my daughter) and you have the perfect summer sipper

Your perception is your reality.  Don't say negative shit out loud and even worse don't write it.  Keep that shit in your head and try your best to change your inner dialogue.  Look at the bright side...nice recruiting class coming in, two good QB options for next time we play football, no word on McGrone leaving early, and a year of eligibility offered to all.  There is good if you look for it.

Hill Farmstead Society & Solitude in the glass.
Spent the last few days in York Beach, Maine floating around and scarfing down Lobster Rolls, so nothing sucks today!

The Colonel is hard to find in MI. Would love to try a little some day. Eagle Rare is readily available here and always in stock at my house. Had a couple Manhattan's yesterday but only a PBR earlier. Hoping to find a bottle of Wild Turkey Rare Breed this weekend ?. Cheers everyone.?

I know it's the NBA, so few people on here care, but the Draft Lottery just happened, and shocker, the Pistons are moving down.

Been in the Draft Lottery 14 times, and have *never* moved up, but have moved down 4 times.

Might be the best draft ever to move down in. There's like 8 or 9 players that could be a possible number 1. Seems like one of those drafts like 2013 when all the all-stars come from random spots 2, 15, and 27. There's a ton of interesting picks in the top 15 and I bet 4 or 5 very high level players come out of it.

Who do you like?
