Per Isaiah Hole - Ambry Thomas considering a return
Some question marks still. But sounds like the coaches are trying. Nico: you’re next!

This would be yuge
September 17th, 2020 at 6:53 PM ^
Please do and pick six Sparty.
September 17th, 2020 at 7:22 PM ^
Hey watching him pick that duck of a Lewerke pass last season was pretty awesome.
September 17th, 2020 at 6:53 PM ^
Don't you tease me, Hole
September 17th, 2020 at 7:15 PM ^
The guy is a Hole, you know what I mean?
Edit: I was going for the joke (as bad as it was), I don’t really think anyone’s am a-hole... except maybe you...
September 17th, 2020 at 7:24 PM ^
You’re referring to Learo? If so, then yes!

He’s the one who can improve his stock the most imo. BUT, he’s also kind of an at risk situation... such a hard call.
September 17th, 2020 at 6:58 PM ^
How is Nico not the one with the most to prove? If he has a bad combine, he is staring at day 3 of the draft.
September 17th, 2020 at 7:04 PM ^
I think that means he’s has the most to lose, not prove. I think ambry is a late day two day 3 and layer as it stands now. So he could very well come back and play himself into day 1
September 17th, 2020 at 7:19 PM ^
Yeah, I agree. I don't think Nico can move up much. His limitation is speed and that's not going to improve. He's shown enough ability to go up and get it and use his body to be in a good spot. Really wished he came back but I was surprised he didn't opt out sooner than he did.
Ambry, on the other hand, does have a lot to prove.
September 17th, 2020 at 8:18 PM ^
All three UM players who opted out have more to prove and playing nine more games could be huge for all their draft prospects. I said in another post if not for Covid they would all be playing right now. The season is going to start up so why opt out now? Come back prove you’ve made strides from last year improve your stock and your NFL pay. Seems like a good business decision rather then hoping the NFL is happy enough with what you did last year when in reality it isn’t enough
September 17th, 2020 at 8:49 PM ^
Covid gave guys an excuse not to play and not have it affect their draft status. But if a wave of top players opt back in I think you'll see the majority come back, they are just following the leader here.
September 17th, 2020 at 10:08 PM ^
Harbaugh should make them a deal: Have them all come back, but let them sit out a game or two as a "bye week" to help them stay fresh and lower risk.
Heck, even if they could play for just OSU, MSU, and PSU, I'd take that deal.
September 17th, 2020 at 6:58 PM ^
If Thomas took money from his agent (he most likely did take $$$. Why wouldnt he? As far as Thomas was concerned, he was going pro), he cannot come back. If Thomas didnt take any $$$, Harbaugh can get him back.
September 17th, 2020 at 6:59 PM ^
Apparently you can return the money? Chase Young and Shaun Wade did the same thing, so I don't see how the precedent changes
September 17th, 2020 at 7:34 PM ^
He may have to sit out the first half vs rutger...
September 17th, 2020 at 8:19 PM ^
Spot on Milk. There is precedent even without the effed up circumstances. If he wants to opt back in the should be able to.
September 17th, 2020 at 9:46 PM ^
There is a difference if you take it publicly vs privately.
September 18th, 2020 at 10:09 AM ^
that wasn't an agent.....it was a long time family friend that they met while being recruited by The ohio state penitentiary.
September 17th, 2020 at 8:22 PM ^
At this point an agent isn’t paying him. They will take care of costs of coaches and trainers and such but they don’t give the players money. They do what they can to get them drafted higher so both parties make more money. I would imagine with the times as they are those benefits would be overlooked if they want to come back
September 17th, 2020 at 6:58 PM ^
Zeke is on his game recently. Hope there is truth to this!
September 17th, 2020 at 7:01 PM ^
They all should. ESPECIALLY Collins. Shortened season, that might not finish. Need to stay in game shape too.
September 17th, 2020 at 7:28 PM ^
Yeah, I wonder if a lot of these guys are coming back because they need to stay in shape and work out anyway so what better way than by playing with your teammates? Yes, there is an injury risk but feels like it'd be much easier to motivate yourself and much more fun to actually play.

September 17th, 2020 at 9:06 PM ^
If his "condition" is so tenuous that he would skip 8 games for it, how does that help his NFL prospects?
September 17th, 2020 at 9:50 PM ^
Because COVID will likely be much more contained by the time his NFL career begins? He’s likely on immunosuppressants due to his condition. Let’s cut him some slack heh?
September 17th, 2020 at 9:56 PM ^
Because the danger isn't injury; it's infection by a dangerous virus.
September 17th, 2020 at 10:39 PM ^
The treatment for his condition is immune suppression which makes him, you guessed it, immunodeficient.
September 17th, 2020 at 7:21 PM ^
Come back Ambry! Beat Michigan State one more time and get that win over osu!
September 17th, 2020 at 7:27 PM ^
You know what would suck? If you were Green or Gray (or any other color for that matter) and you were expecting to start. Then Ambry comes back and sits you back on the bench.
September 17th, 2020 at 7:31 PM ^
Given the current trend, they would more likely just transfer away.
September 17th, 2020 at 9:08 PM ^
You aint shittin, NFG
September 17th, 2020 at 7:57 PM ^
Ambry isn't sending Gray to the bench. We'll see if someone passes him, but Gray was our 3rd CB and Hill graduated.
September 17th, 2020 at 11:55 PM ^
There is some thought that DJ Turner might pass Gray on the depth chart. It isn't likely but anything can happen.
September 17th, 2020 at 7:34 PM ^
Please can we have nice things?
September 17th, 2020 at 7:40 PM ^
We're getting the band back together!!
September 18th, 2020 at 5:42 AM ^
Does this mean that COVID is our Yoko Ono?
September 17th, 2020 at 7:46 PM ^
I think, if anything, it's a momentum thing. Kwity says he's playing. Mayfield sees it and thinks about it. Thomas sees that and thinks about it.
Doesn't mean they're all coming back. But when 1 guy does it, the others take notice.
September 17th, 2020 at 7:48 PM ^
Ambry plz.
September 17th, 2020 at 7:56 PM ^
From a medical perspective I'd get him just sitting out the year. We probably don't have great insight into how someone with colitis who then contracts COVID-19 responds, but that seems like too great a risk. But obviously up to him.
September 17th, 2020 at 8:02 PM ^
The thing about 'coming back' this season is it doesnt delay your NFL prospects at all. Coming back to school isnt precluding you from being in the NFL in 2021. For guys who arent considered round 1 or 2 prospects right now there is a lot more to gain by playing than sitting out.
There are a lot of players who arent on anyone's radar or draft board right now that are going to push themselves into it this season. A guy who opts out as a later round prospect is very likely to get pushed back another round, if not out of the draft entirely.
September 17th, 2020 at 8:18 PM ^
Alright Nico it’s your turn to come back now
September 17th, 2020 at 9:14 PM ^
He has signed with an agent.
September 17th, 2020 at 9:52 PM ^
I don't think that's going to matter this year.
September 17th, 2020 at 8:27 PM ^
if we get this dude back plus Mayfield, it's on
I feel like Cornelius Johnson looked promising last year as a freshman, I think we are good at WR even without Collins.... plus Evans out of the backfield is almost like having an extra receiver
Ambry is our absolute biggest need, if Seldon works out plus Hill at safety we might be able to slow down the OSU passing attack (Paye helps with that too)
too bad I keep letting myself get excited...
I forgot for a second there, Covid, #2020
September 17th, 2020 at 8:53 PM ^
I haven't been this excited about getting the band back together since Jake and Elwood.
You better think. Think about what you're trying to do to me.
