Iowa State takes down #3 Oklahoma in Norman

Submitted by crg on
With a third string QB in his first career start with 300+ passing yards, 3 TDs and no interceptions. ISU got 38 points today and Baylor put up 41 on OK earlier this season. How did OSU only manage 16 points?

Its unreal. OU only punted once all game and with a 3rd string QB, ISU ran three plays: screen pass, run up the middle, and toss it up to their big receivers in single coverage. OU was also coming off a bye. That OU defensive coordinator is going to get left at a tarmac somewhere.

that D has been hit or miss for years.  granted its tough to consistently slow down many big 12 offenses but theyll follow up a game of mostly dominant D (or a stretch of solid performances) with a wet fart outing thats almost puzzling.  iowa st completes 20 passes for 400 yards or whatever it was, in norman?  must be maddening for ou fans.  obviously players gotta execute and consistently do their part but ultimately falls on stoops

Oklahoma loses to Iowa State 38-31 after beating Ohio State 31-16. Math thus dictates that Ohio State's defense = Iowa State's defense and Ohio State's offense = .42 Iowa State's (third-string QB) offense. This year is the year. Go Blue!

I wish that had some bearing on how the OSU game will go, but OSU will inevitably figure out all their problems by November and will be very good against us

That’s what they get for looking past an opponent that had them Red circle on the schedule. Baker Mayfield must have taken the defense out last night to o’Connell’s. Bad move
