If you are bored and kinda down after the Worthy rumors, watch some pickup basketball

I am not a big pick-up basketball player, but if I was, I am pretty sure I would avoid games where it was "shirts vs. no shorts." "Hey dude, ease-up on the tight defense. I can feel your testicles on my thigh. I mean, if it was late on a Saturday night, maybe, but it's 5 PM on a Tuesday, man!"

I agree with the video: Kobe Bufkin is underrated. A lot of different skills on display. He is going to look great in the Maize and Blue. Same for Barnes.

Can't watch videos at work - Youtube is blocked by the firewall.  Sometimes, when clips are directly posted, they are viewable.  But videos like this are not, so will have to think about watching it this afternoon.  Any chance for a summary of events, other than that Bufkin is nude in a not-nude sort of way and he and Barnes look good together?  (Which sounds, well, not to my preference for such things...)

There are a lot of talented players playing including some guys I recognize but cant place. Bufkin and Barnes are the players of interest for us M fans going forward though Mike Smith gets a little run near the end where he looks a lot like he did at Michigan (nice distribution and a pure three).

Kobe looked like the best of the bunch and that is saying something because everyone seemed legitimately talented. I think he must be one of the youngest guys playing (based on build, lack of facial hair, and absence of tattoos) but it appeared he was the MVP, if there was one. He was driving by guys and dunking with ease. He basically hit every three he took including a number of step backs (and keep in mind this was not a highlight video).

Barnes looks like an amazing athlete and was flying around on the boards including I believe at least one tip dunk. He looks ready to contribute on day one, physically. He shot a number of threes but missed more than he made but considering he has been identified as a plus shooter he was probably just a little off his game.

This is at a Chicago gym and a lot of players with connections to that area showed up. Youtube description says that Barnes and Bufkin are the two youngest there. Aside from Mike Smith, the rest are all G League or overseas pros. So that competition is no joke.

We have the Fab Five 2.0 coming in:

C Diabate
F Houstan
F Barnes
G Buffkin
G Frankie

That's a helluva small ball lineup.

Bufkin is only underrated by our fanbase...I mean he is a McDonald AA. He will likely move up in the last rankings for the services (if they still rerank unless he is dinged by his injury).

And people still think we need to go out and get a transfer guard so that these guys all play like five minutes a game. I don’t think we need to.

I keep saying we need another 5. Second to that I would get a wing player that has the 2-3 ability. If Barnes and Bufkin are the real deal it helps the need to not be hurting on the wing either. With Davis leaving I’d really like to see a two year transfer come and back Hunter up.

Kobe Bufkin looked so smooth out there. Wow. Barnes looks like he's built and ready to go, so athletic and long.

These are our lower ranked recruits this year, though they've been rising fast. This class is going to be so good.
