This is a work of reasonable, professional quality.  There is nothing cheesy about it.   There really isn't anything for anyone to make fun of if they don't win.  He has good rhythm, changes meter enough to keep it interesting and, most of all, has enough taste and tact to not say anything stupid, as young athletes often do in rap videos.

This is not "my genre" at all, but I think this is a solid effort and a positive on his musical resume.

My thoughts exactly, Tater. I thought the video was really professional and in good taste. Nothing was done or said to compromise Ian, the rest of the team nor the university's integrity. And it looked like they had a blast making the video. It had some nice visuals of downtown A2 and it being a hip hop video, the Graffiti Alley shots were a nice touch. I think it was nicely done.

Thanks for sharing this. That was actually really well done.

I know we've had a few players have their musical talents highlighted here in the past, but as we like to say, this is Michigan, and I think we wouldn't expect less of our players to be talented musicians, engineers, artists, etc...

Not my kind of music, but I thought it was pretty well done.  It was, however, painfully clear that they are football players - not dancers.  LOL!!

I cannot approve of any "rap" music video that doesn't have a Coach Harbaugh appearance.

OMG! SHIRTLESS!!

Poggi at the end, late to the party, but saving the day with takeout.  LOL

Definitely not my cup of tea musically, but looked/sounded well produced.  This could be something I hear my daughter listening to and it would not sound out of place amongst any of those songs.  Lotsa "M"s in the video as well, which is always a good thing.

Love the guys all hanging out and I think it has a nice sound and recording quality. As my wife always says, "You do you Boo." Buntings just doing him. Also didn't know he grew up without a dad. That is where the type of men we have is coaches can positively change the direction of young men's lives forever.

Just once I want to see something produced by a current player that is something that doesn't make me wonder what the hell happened to music.  I guess it's as good as anything else out there today.

blew my mind was the late Alan Watts quote in the beginning. Zen Buddhism is what he used to teach with seminars at colleges typically in California where he lived. I used to study Zen listening to his work and he would blow my mind. Taught me how to meditate and basically turned the chatter off in my head. Google him with an open mind and he will blow yours too.

I was pleasantly surprised with his lyrical skills. I have to admit I opened the video with some trepidation but found the beat and lyrics to be very smooth. Nice work. Thought we would have seen something like this from Peppers by now. Wasn't music a huge part of his recruiting storyline? He rapped his commitment fergodsakes!
