We've just gone through three years in which we've had a coach who was accused of being a crook even though he wasn't.  In my mind, that entitles us to three years of a coach who pulls out every dirty trick to help the team win.  We also need a guy who will use a running QB.  Finally, a guy who can flash a Super Bowl ring wouldn't be bad.  That's why my pick is Barry Switzer.

I'm glad I had a colonoscopy yesterday..  I "took one for the team", slept the rest of the day and didn't worry about coaches for a day.. In other words, it took a colonoscopy for me to feel better..

FWIW, I will always respect Rich Rodriquez for his efforts at Michigan and will be all-in for whoever our next coach is..

Maybe not a viable candidate, but you can't question his love for tradition or his intensity.  He also has the ability to motivate well from what it looked like.  I'll admit, I was a little fired up by that speech.

It is strange that there are no stories of coaches flying in for interviews or DB going anywhere to interview anyone.  When you consider how open it's been about folks coming to visit JH, with the negotiations being practically done on national TV, the contrast is remarkable.  There has also been very little in the news about teams with interest in RR.  It would be great to see him land a good job and be able to take care of some of his assistants.

Clearly someone needs to go Tonya Harding Luck's architecural design senior thesis/project/whatever. I'm sure if some masked bandit crushed that house of toothpicks, he'd have little choice but to opt for the draft.

Defensive-minded coach?  He's a defensive coordinator with several successful stops and a history of success.

Michigan ties?  He's a former DC at Michigan.

Name:  Scott Shafer.

Search?  Over.

In the wake of no one knowing anything about anything, it's time to look at who the worst possible hires in the world would be.  People I enjoy imagining well headseted on the sideline as long as we're sacrificing wins for humor, which seems to be the case.  I've got my wishlist, in order:

Skip Bayless,Matthew McConaughey (Al pacino would probably do a fairly good job), Ernest Shazor, Marty Mornhinweg, Michael Irvin, Adam Schefter, Plaxico Burress, that a-hole in the "most interesting man in the world" commercials, Geno Auriemma, and Bill Simmons.

Fortunately we don't have to worry about any of this because as Flight Tracker indicates the M plane just touched down near Denzel Washington's house.
