Has everyody chippy! Throwdowns tend to happen on jobsites in East Lansing too. (I have a winged hardhat) Most of the time it's fun and games, but when I nailed a sparty's pouches to the ground on coffee break, shit got out of hand. I love football and I love getting our rivals upset but in this case people's children were probably watching... not the right time IMO Haha

and bags are slang words for toolbelts. When people set their toolbelts down to go have a cigarette, its funny to nail them down to the ground. When break is over the guy or gal grabs their toolbelt, not knowing it is nailed down and sometimes falls to the ground. That's when you tell them that smoking kills. A little laughter at someone else's expense helps ya make it through the day sometimes!

"It happens,” says Todd Blumensaadt, owner of the Jet Express. “They get very passionate about their teams."

Sounds like this happens on a pretty regular basis.

I spend most of my summers in the Port Clinton/PiB area (have cottage on Middle Bass Island) and ride the Miler Ferry to MBI every weekend.  I can tell you I've stopped wearing most of my Michigan gear on the ride due to the sheer number of drunken assholes I encounter who want nothing more than to get me to react.

One comeback I've learned is very effective when hassled by this jerks is to simply look at them and say "I graduated from Michigan in 1981.  What year did you graduate from Ohio State?"  I've found that 0.00% of the troublemakers could even find Columbus on the map - much less attend classes there so they shut up pretty fast at that point.

It's the drunken idiots (like my wife's brother) who have never stepped foot on campus who are the worst.  Generally speaking the OSU alums arent that bad at all.

this happened at 1:45AM, so...

Just curious, are the non-alum Michigan fans as trashy as the non-alum OSU fans? I have not spent a lot of time in Ohio and don't really know any OSU fans/ alumni.

I have found that in my time living in Columbus that it is ALWAYS the non-grads who are the loudest. I have never said a word to them about my allegiance, yet somehow I get tagged in some post about how "scUM is going down" because "Jim Harbaughless sucks."

I don't want to sound snotty but a lot of the non-alum Michigan fans from Ohio seem pretty damn trashy. On par with the sterotypical Buckeye fan.

FYU - Oregon, Ohio Moe - it's a Toledo suburb not far from Pt Clinton.

Just to clear on my point.  I said GENERALLY SPEAKING the OSU alums arent nearly as bad down here as the people who never attended any college, much less OSU.  GENERALLY SPEAKING the troublemakers are people with little to no education past high school and have no affiliation with Ohio State whatsoever.

Generally speaking that is.

But, I've been to put-in-bay with just a Michigan hat and faced my fair share of issues. Anything from families cursing at me to bouncers singling me out while waiting for my wife to walk out of a bar and threatening to have me arrested. I like to party down there but people take it to a whole different level down there.

who has a boat has told me, that is 100% accurate about Put-In Bay.  I wouldn't go to that shit hole even if someone paid me.  The only good thing about it might be that it keeps all those cretins down in Ohio and away from nice islands in Michigan like Mackinac and Beaver.
