I'd say he's been the key to the whole year. More than any other player, anyway ...

All five starters made great contributions and they played well together. As a thought exercise, try subtracting each and replacing them with someone on the bench. I think the team without Dickinson wins the least amount of games.

That's pretty wild.  I see they ducked the Kofi v. Dickinson debate by putting both on the 2nd team.  Which one is in the 4-spot?  Hunter is a better shooter (out to, what, 15 feet?) and certainly has a better assist rate, but Kofi is the scariest big man in the paint.

Wonder when the last year was when, like this year, the AP All-America teams, including Honorable Mentions, did not include a single player from Arizona, Duke, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan State, North Carolina or Syracuse.

There is almost no scenario that realistically comes to pass where HD goes pro after this year.  He’s much more of an old style 5 and unless his shooting and/or mobility take a significant jump he would be well advised to stay in AA for at least another year of JH’s tutoring.

My money says that both Dickinson and Cockburn would out play either Timme or Garza.  We've already seen Dickinson outplay Garza like he's some second rate schmuck.  Hell, he took Kofi straight up to a draw.  Timme is a stick compared to them!  I'll take HD & Kofi in that game all day long...

I think it may be more "hitting the Freshman wall" than "losing his mojo" at this point.  Shorter season than normal this year but a lot of games close together and a lot more minutes for Hunter than most would have projected pre-season.

I am hopeful the 6 days between games helps him rest and recharge to get back to his early season levels.

I am guessing a lot of angry Illini comments for a headline that ignores their 1st and 2nd team All Americans and just credits Baylor as dominating with 1st and 3rd team players.

Not that anyone cares, but this is a terrible headline.  Gonzaga, yes, but Baylor?  They have a first and a third teamer, and one honorable mention among a laundry list of guys (that include Livers and Wagner).  Illinois has a first and a second teamer.  I just don't see how anyone can reasonably say that the AP teams are "dominated" by Baylor in any way other than clickbait.  Illini fans probably apoplectic about this, given how sensitive they clearly are over titles.
