How optimistic are you with Harbaugh? Would you trade current standing with any team?
With Harbaugh at the helm, I believe our future is brighter than any other college team. I wonder if everyone feels the same? Would you trade places (as in trade coaching staff, current roster, recruits)? Their future becomes ours and ours becomes theirs. Our history remains the same, just the future would change.
I believe Harbaugh will build a dynasty that will rival any other programs and even top Bo's record here. Michigan currently has a top 10 recruiting class and that is without winning a game yet and coming off a 5 - 7 season. We can only imagine what it will be like after a few seasons when we are winning Big Ten titles and competing for a national championships.
Am I crazy or being a homer? I know osu just won the NC and has the #1 ranked class for '16 and '17 and Alabama is going to be good every year with their coach and the way they recruit, but I would still not trade situations with them or any other team. Would you? If so, which team?

Yeah, I'd trade places with Ohio State, I'm not stupid...........
Yes I can. All doges can spell. Duh.
but if you'd really trade places with Ohio State then you are both. Wow a two fer.
But would you trade a Michigan degree as well? I didn't go to the UofM for football, but it is an enjoyable benefit, win or lose.
I love Harbaugh but I'd trade with Bama or Osu.
How could you not? They both have top notch coaches, great facilities, the best talent and are already winning. They are what we want to get to.
Alabama was a program that wasn't quite as good as Spurrier's Florida and was then on probation twice. They were inconsistent, not shitty.
Gene Stallings went 11-1 in '91 (loss to Florida), won a national title a year later (blew out Miami in the Sugar Bowl), went 12-1 in '94 (loss to Florida in SEC title game), and 10-3 in his final year in '96 (with another loss to Florida in the SEC title game). Mike DuBose won the SEC in '99 (lost to UM in Orange Bowl) and got fired a year later after a 3-8 season caused by sanctions and scholarship reductions, Dennis Franchione went 10-3 and won the SEC west outright in '02 (then left for A&M rather than deal with sanctions), Mike Shula went 10-2 and finished #8 in the country in '05 but got fired a year later just as he was able to sign a full recruiting class. Saban benefitted from that big class and hit the ground running with an undefeated regular season in year two and a national title in year three.
Did you already know all this stuff about Alabama or did you just look it up tonight? You do seem to have a lot of football knowledge in that purple hazed brain of yours.
I know Stallings had a much better record than people remember (especially outside SEC country) and that the three guys that followed all had good seasons at one point. Wikipedia'd the record details though.
top notch coaches, top notch temporary AD, and one of the best learning institutions in the world.
Nothing to dislike about Michigan.
But it's freezing cold in June. Duh.
I recently took my son to tour Bryant-Denny Stadium. If you are near Tuscaloosa, it is well worth the $5 price of admission. I found one thing I would like for Michigan to copy. Their visiting locker room is named in honor of donor James Fail.
I don't believe anybody has it better than us.
Except Ohio State--Ohio State has it better than us.
Colombus? Is that near Sinsinati or Cleavlend?
I have posted one or two things before. Ohio State has lost 3 games in 3 years and is coming off a national title. I think our coach is as good as theirs, but they are already established. They, currently, have it better than us.

Did you seriously just ask Chunkums how he has 10k points? I'll tell you how, he is an OG and has been the creator of some of the best things I have ever seen on this site..gtfo my lawn and all that
meh... better than the Nike/Adidas threads, i suppose...
Would I trade places with another team for the sake of just being able to win now or at least being in a better position to win quickly? No, I don't think so. I am kind of intrigued to see this develop from what it is now to what it could be, and if it means a few years of trying to "get there", if you will, I think that by now that would be part of most expectations in our fanbase. I am interested in this journey, and if it takes a bit of time, I am prepard for it. In the last several years, I think we've learned a few lessons related to this as a fanbase.
If I was going to trade places with anyone I would have six years ago ... and I didn't (all things being hypothetical). I wouldn't have then and I wouldn't now.
The thing about Ohio State and Alabama ... I simply don't give a fuck about 'em.
Take a deep breath.
There are really only three coaches I think are elite: Saban, Meyer and Harbaugh.
Saban is in his mid 60's and is probably starting his downward trajectory, so he's out.
Meyer has built a monster in Columbus, but OSU can suck my balls.
So to sum it up, nope, I'm happy with Harbaugh and looking forward to him doing very well over the next two decades of his career.
I love what we have.

No, I wouldn't trade Harbaugh for anything. The recruiting question becomes interesting, because while OSU has a better ranked recruiting class, a lot of their recruits wouldn't fit into the schemes Harbaugh is designing. If we could trade the number of players at each star ranking and let Harbaugh pick which ones he wants, then sure. But otherwise, I know it's a bold prediction, but I think when all is said and done Harbaugh (after a year or two) will have more success here than Urban will at OSU.
Harbaugh would lave Cardale. So much so that he might even let him skip school.
