I mean sometimes highly rated recruits like 5 stars or top100 recruits help pull other recruits in but I dont think a QB ranked 250+ is going to garner much attention from anybody not already looking at Michigan

There is a chance any QB in this class doesn't play a meaningful down for this program if you believe Peters is the real deal and our boy from CO is a "cerebral QB" and such. Or the other QB in this class wins the spot. Or the 2019 QB beats both of them out - there is a traffic jam at this position building and there will be transfers. So I don't know what the attraction is "Hey man we might play together in your RS JR year! I'm so looking forward to 2021!"
These kids have sightline of 12 months or 24 months not 4 years.
Hopefully this continues to build inroads into that part of Florida into the far future as more guys come up here and have success but that's about all the impact I'd expect.
I would think receivers whose primary asset, in addition to hands, of course, are their ability to simply fly down the field. This is where I woud not mind seeing the "Bob Hayes" theory the Cowboys applied some 45-50 years ago. Grab the fastest human they can find, find out if he can catch and if so, ran as many fly patterns as possible. Ah, shades of Brady to Moss.

The fact he's the 10th ranked pro style QB even though he hasnt completed over 50% of his passes in the last two seasons makes me think we have a real diamond in the rough here and who better at polishing him than Harbaugh. With his size and cannon of an arm we could be looking at a more athletic Jamarcus Russell style QB here
isn't the best; anyone he recruits will probably be catching balls from Peters or McCaffery, two guys that are well ahead of him here at Michigan, not him. With Coach Harbaugh putting out there might be a second QB in this class he's going to slip into obscurity for a time before he sees the light of day at QB.
Yeah but he'll be developed and ready to go by the time he get's to see the light of day. We all hate the injury word and terrible things have happened before. There's always the chance he could see time his redshirt freshman or sophmore year dude.

I read some of the other posts and can't disagree more. I really like this kid. He has the physical stature of our current starting QB and he's still an 11th grader. He has a canon for an arm, and is pretty accurate based on his film.
Our future at QB is very bright and I think other recruits, particularly offensive targets will see him as someone they would want to play with. This is a great pickup and kind of finally sets the tone for the class as he will be seen as the face of it, like it was with Peters and McCaffrey before him.

However, we know Coach will have his flaws worked out - and some of that (46%) has to be on his receivers as well- that by time he takes his first snap as a wolverine he should be ready to toss in the high 50s, low 60s with an arrow . Remember, he only has one other D1 prospect, a DT I belive. But Damn, that Harbugh cat is a pretty slick man. What's he do? He goes out and gets a wr haul so damn talented and deep, he has to take the 5th one, another 4* and put him at safety, and I bet Don Brown in crying.
But these h.s. wide receivers are taking notice. They're aware of Peters, McCaffrey and now Milton. Hell, a FSU DT commit is thinking UM and Harbaugh now. In two years, we should be able to put a wr corp out on the field that's impossible to cover, and they'll try so damn hard with double teams all over the place, one of our highly ranked qbs should be able to dump off to a TE or hit the RB on a wheel route for six. Did I mention Harbaugh likes to throw to his FB as well? Hmmmm.............. UM by 2019 should be putting up 11 wins a season by utilizing an offense so tried and true it's now the rarity in cfb, and that is one hell of an advantage. We've all seen what Urb can do with the spread with the best talent in the country. Expect the same from the wolverines.
I'm not too concerned about his accuracy, despite his numbers. Looking at his film, he throws virtually no screens or quick passes. Just about everything is downfield, either in the seams or toward the sidelines. Last year he averaged almost 19 yards per completion. And as plenty of people have mentioned, we won't need him in a game for at least 2-3 years.
Obviously his Hudl film is his highlights, but it includes maybe 40-50 throws out of his 178 last year, and he seems to put the ball on the money. It's likely that if he played in an offensive scheme that emphasized more short passing, he could get up in the 60% completion range.
He's yet another kid from the south that is bypassing SEC schools to go play for Jim Harbaugh up north.
He's not some leftover that nobody in the SEC really wanted. He had his choice of top SEC schools, and he chose Michigan. And it was a smart choice.
Between Jim Harbaugh's offense and Don Brown's defense, Michigan is an extremely appealing place to play and be developed for the NFL. It's the complete package.

How are jersey sales going in Ohio / Central Florida? I'm given to understand that that's how you gauge regional interest in Michigan's football program.
