One year which is all we need. He might be the best center in the country next year so will be a great addition. This gives our younger centers one more year to improve before we need them

When the predictions came in for him and there was a thread about it, I scanned some highlights of a couple UVa games to get a feel for how he played. Not much to tell from how he was as a run blocker, but his pass pro was terrific in the few dozen reps I scanned through.

PFF has him rated as the 2nd-best Center in terms of Run-Blocking.

Not that he isn’t a good run blocker, but there are a lot of issues people have (noted in our UFR/FFFF a few times here as well) with the way PFF grades OL. So take that grade with a grain of salt.

Maybe that explains why he didn’t just go to the NFL. Seems like the PFF #2 center would get drafted pretty early.

Just one draft source, but this doesn’t even have him listed in their top 15 for the position. Some players are excellent in college and don’t translate as good pro prospects. Could be a measurables thing or an athleticism concern. I won’t pretend to be an expert on OL scouting, but it’s a plausible explanation.
Interestingly, Walterfootball lists Andrew Steuber as a potential NFL Center on that list.

Few years back, the mother-in-law gifted me six of those things. Generous gift and much appreciated, but literally the worst "beer" I've ever tasted. 5 and a half were poured down the drain. If I could do it again, I'd mail them to you. Cheers.

Oh man, that’s a shame but if you don’t like the bourbon barrel-aged stuff, I understand. Since the start of Covid and even a little before, I’ve been stocking my cellar with different BBA stouts and it’s around ~100 bottles now with some vintage bottles back to 2017.
My fiancé is a seltzer/hazy ipa kind of girl so it’s up to me to finish them I guess. I must say, after one or two BCS or KBS, it’s hangover city even going 1:1 with a glass of water. I likely need a new hobby, liver or to magically get younger. Cheers!

This is a great addition and sets up the line for another stellar season with added depth. In fact we should be better at every position and as good at Stueber’s spot.
I am confused though why a kid like this is not heading to the NFL to get paid.
