Harbaugh Responds to Sparty Trolling with a Tip of the Cap

Submitted by EastCoast Esq. on

As everybody knows, Harbaugh spent last night at Quinn Nordin's house trying to flip the nation's #1 kicker. He was welcomed to Rockford by this sign:

A lesser man would have ignored it and grumbled quietly...

Harbaugh responds by recognizing the effort and applauding the fan's commitment to the rivalry...

The spelling correct. I think recruits see this and see how obsessed staet is with Michigan. It backfired. More Harbaugh in the news. Lol

You know, for a fanbase that doesn't care about Michigan at all, they put many, many hours of preparation and planning into no caring about Michigan at all. Indeed, they really have an organized mental schema for "not caring about Michigan", not to mention a sizable budget devoted to making things which exude this lack of care. I applaud them.....not really.

That's pretty much the point Harbaugh was making, recognizing that he and Michigan are such a big enough deal to them that someone would be paying attention to Harbaugh's future whereabouts and then put that kind of time into making a large sign just for the specific purpose of having a single person, Harbaugh, read it as he passes by. Also, the "Respect" is noting the irony of their fans whining endlessly about being disrespected while continually doing things like this (due to their jealousy-induced obsession).

1) OSU would have gone to the playoff and Urban beat up on Saban last yeatr, so probably would have again. Back-to-back for OSU would have been awful. OSU not winning didn't even keep any underclassmen from declaring and trying to win in 2016.

2) MSU was embarassed when they played Bama, so we got some enjoyment out of that.

3) That play had to hammer home the valuable lesson of playing through the last snap and whistle at 100%. The game can change on a dime.

This is awesome!

I'm 100% certain that each day Harbaugh thinks about how Michigan gifted those mouthbreathers a victory in the Big House. I'm sure it absolutely infuriates him. This sort of thing only adds fuel to the fire.

JH will have the Wolverines foaming at the mouth for the opportunity to rip Sparty to shreds in EL.

I'm not sure how to embed, but check out the Twitter page "Rockford Corner Bar."

Billboard reads #keepquinninmi and customers wearing any UM attire get a free hot dog!

These clowns are actually giving him fuel? Do they not understand how competitive he is? This right here will be one of many reasons sparty gets dog walked in their own stadium next season.

I seriously doubt Harbaugh thought "Wow. I can't believe a random resident of Rockford, Michigan, would dare make a sign poking fun at Michigan. This is truly an outrage. I did not care about winning the MSU game before, but now I do"

I bet you anything Dantonio and Izzo field go blues all the time and vice versa for Harbaugh and Beilein

It is rare to get a moment as a fan that you will remember forever - where you were, who you were with, how exactly you felt at that moment.  It wasn't fun at the time but such memories are worth something for sure.

Well this is the way they always used to win. Some terrible call or lucky shit would happen and we'd hear about it for the entire year until we crushed them the next year. With what they lose in personnel and what we bring back, hopefully we keep the tradition alive. As long as Oneill isn't calling the game next year I feel pretty confident.

Not sure how everyone else feels, but I have this feeling Harbaugh and the boys put a serious beaten on MSU up at their trash filled stadium next year.  Just a hunch, but I am calling an early prediction of something like 31-10.

We should have really been up by more than two points due to the reffing and our own mistakes. We could have intercepted the ball and taken it to their side of the 50, we could have stopped two of their drives if not for two bogus 15 yard penalty calls and our lb would still be in the game. Jake Butt would have extended a drive where we had to punt if they rightly call it a catch. As for mistakes of our own accord, we missed a few open receivers and gave up the long pass to the fullback.

It's cute when people try to get under Harbaugh's skin.  I mean, this guy eats lightning and craps thunder; he's not going to be bothered by a $50 sign in front of his yard about the most miraculous finish in recent college football memory.

His response was perfect, though.
