Harbaugh on Lewis: "We'll know better after today" if Lewis will play Saturday

There's not much in there, literally just one line about Lewis from today. But it seems like there's a chance Lewis plays Saturday. Even if he doesn't, seems to confirm that the injury isn't anything too major and we should hopefully be seeing him on the field in the next week or two.

If I am remembering the perspective, having seen a hint of the scoreboard and thinking about where I sat correctly, I was about 20-25 rows back from those very people, and yes, the hands went down almost immediately. I did not see faces as the section was too busy cheering, but I can only assume they were....not as they are in that GIF.

I really wish that college had something like the pro's, where they were required to release a standardized injury list. (Yeah, yeah, I know all about how impossible that would be in college... doesn't stop me wishing it was possible.) Would it really surprise anyone if Lewis missed the entire season while the coaching staff kept pushing the "looks like this week or next" the whole time?  If Harbaugh thinks it gives Michgian an advantage to dissemble about injuries, then, fine, he's the coach.  (Trigger warning: Fire up the "he's not a *real* fan" cannon for this next comment...)  Doesn't mean I have to like it.

"Even if he doesn't, seems to confirm that the injury isn't anything too major and we should hopefully be seeing him on the field in the next week or two."

So let's say he's on the field for the Wisconsin game (the two of "a week or two).  Why wouldn't missing almost 1/2 the season - our first 5 games - be considered "serious"?

Seems damn fucking serious to me.  I'm having flashbacks to the non-serious injury that Caris suffered this year in basketball.

Me too, it seemed he was ready to go week 1 but seeming strained a hammy in practice last week, that shit could be 2-3 weeks before he is back.  The fact that its been two different things is good in some ways, the fact that the second thing is a hammy that only happened last week and made him not even close enough to dress is a bad thing.

Harbaugh is never going to provide any relevant injury info on his players. He wants every little edge he can get on his opponent know matter who they are playing. It's not worth trying to read into what he says.

I spotted him in my apartment complex, his demeanor and walk all seemed normal. Hopefully I spot him again and can do some digging.

Also Taco is in a full brace, but did confirm its an ankle and very minor/precautionary.

I believe it happened on Friday.  JD tweeted out something to the effect of "man, can't make it a whole week" early Friday evening before deleting it a few minutes later.

That could be why he was in street clothes since it happened so close to the game.

I hope he can play...we need him to be an ELITE defense over a very good defense.

Stribling and Clark are better when they're rotating on the 2nd best WR and we role with the hot hand between the two while JD is erasing their #1 off the face of the planet.
