What kind of example is this setting for the rest of the team? Break the law, violate probation, get suspended, then come right back? JH's really laying down the law, huh?

He simply violated probation by drinking and testing at .086. Normally this would be legal for anyone not on probation - not that it excuses his actions, but it's not like he stole, lied, cheated or something more egregious.
I'm sure JH is doing the right thing and probably let the kid know this is his last shot.
Let me take what you wrote and flip that for you to show how ridiculous it looks:
You also have no idea if JH is done "punishing" Glasgow or not. For all we know he was only given a less than two week suspension after commiting a crime and violating his probation after his erractic driving and DUI arrest that occurred a year to the day of this most recent infraction. Just because he is (rightfully) being reprimanded by the city of Ann Arbor, doesn't mean that the football program should basically turn a blind eye to his obvious disregard for authority and responsibility. Let's face it-the 3rd string center just wasn't going to cut it.
He didn't "simply violate probation." He VIOLATED PROBATION. I'm not sure where you come from, but I tend to take legal matters pretty seriously. And, judging by your apathetic attitude toward the situation, you're OK with the football program following suit.
Oh, you're "sure JH is doing the right thing and probably let the kid know this is his last shot." Well, now I feel relieved. You're right, the creep that's OK with sending a bazzar note to a recruit's girlfriend and then asks a guy to commit prom-style certainly has his priorities straight. How's that kool-aid taste?
As I stated, this is a great example JH is setting over there. Even UM's fanbase is starting to ignore these legal situations because "just win baby."
The kid is back working hard, hopefully, this will be the end of it.

When/How will we know the results of the draft?
Let's cut the bullshit and get to the important stuff: will be eligible for the Spring Game Draft and has his Spring Game Draft Stock fallen?
We'll find out when the spring game draft is televised on ESPN.
For a very split second I was about to check the ESPN listings to see what time it was being broadcast.
Now I am sad.
Regular season suspension length?
I'm pretty sure that Glasgow has been practicing for all but one or two practices. Of course, I'm not in charge, but it doesn't send much of a message to "suspend" kids from practice, unless there's something even harder they have to do outside of practice. For example, I remember stories about how Lloyd Carr used to make guys in the doghouse show up really early in the morning and run stadium steps.
I never understood why Woods was in LC's doghouse. I know it was a long time ago but what was the reason?
Was he the one who was rumored to have injured Gutierrez in practice (presumably in a noncontact drill)?
Although it seems like JH's philosophy is that you have to earn the right to get better. So suspending a player from practice is exactly the kind of thing he would do, right?

I don't really want to open the Pandora's box of appropriate punishments again here, but I agree with you.
If not drinking was a condition for regaining the right to drive, then the consequences should be limited to his future right to drive or its timing.
Graham is a rising redshirt senior. I assume he is 21. If so, what he did is not a crime in itself.
Now if Harbaugh has a no heavy drinking policy and his suspension was related to that, then so be it.

It was a probation violation, which could have led to him spending some months in jail. That doesn't usually happen and didn't here, but it's much more serious than you paint it.

Upvote for PRACTICE!
I doubt we'll hear about the punishment, but I kind of hope there is something more significant handed down than a couple of missed practices. I'm not going to argue the merits of the offense, but blowing that high a BAC that early, after coming off probation for a similar offense, needs to be handled appropriately. The "running stairs" pennance doesn't seem to be enough.
I'm glad JH handed down a worse sentence than Dantonio will be giving his thugs. Practice (and running) is for winners. Missing practice is a huge pusnishment!
One of the oldest kids on the team, a 5th year player and former walk-on...I got nothing for the kid. Stay out of trouble and stay off the booze or go get yourself some help. Be a good teammate, be a better man. Time to grow the fuck up and be a leader whether that is on the field or off the field by showing your teammates the right way to deal with a real life issue.
Pick one and be a leader. Enough is enough with the guy.
