Good news coming this week for Michigan Football.
I know on a quiet Saturday night there is nothing better than speculation if you are stuck inside.
Allan Trieu of scout just tweeted this message:
Good news coming this week for #Michigan
I know Thompson and Godin are next week, what are you best guesses?
some cashflow problems, I'm thinking Zeke haha
also stated that he is not talking about the same 'best in the midwest' that the scout is talking about. So that means 2 big time recruits with the hopes of Godin and Thompson on the 11th and 12th.
I didn't think it would be Thompson or Godin since they both ahve their days to announce set. I don't it's Pike since he just committed and TomVH didn't sound too positive leading up to when he committed. I also would rather Morris over Pike or Kiel. I believe Diamond said he was going to announce much alter so his team will get more recruiting exposure. I think Ross is gonna go somewhere else since we have so many LBs and I'm ok with that. So, I'm leaning towards Day or Wormely. I'd be really happy with either. Maybe an outside chance that Dunn de-commits.

$20 says it's Alex Legion.
are a package deal, I hear.
basketball Legion...
sometimes you have to spell things out for me..
kind of slow:)
The moderate feature makes going through these ridiculously long threads for new information infinitely easier. Unforunately, we're all still taking blind stabs in the dark when we have a general idea of a couple guys it could possibly be. Where is BKFinest when you need him?
Why? Do you have a pressing need to no who it isn't? Ok, here goes- it's Jim Trseel. He has committed to be UofM's newest fullback. BKFinest it!
You know how when you were a kid and you saw Christmas presents, but you couldn't open them yet and didn't know what they were? That is how I feel about having a big name recruit coming and not being able to know who it is yet. The suspense kills me, but at least we'll all know tomorrow.
All signs point to Rojo.
what the heck does the color "red" have to do w/ anything?!?
Just talked to my brother about it, and you all will be very happy with this news. Out of respect for the kid, I won't give any hints. He is going to be a great one!
Could you tell us which side of the ball he plays on? I think it is James Ross myself.
defense
So if you're "not giving any hints," does this mean he's actually on offense?
Given what has been posted here and on scout, I think the realistic possibilities all play defense. Therefore, I don't think this helps narrow it down.
Yeah I was kind of hoping it was Dunn (just for the background that would go with it) but you're right, all the realistic possibilities are on D. Definitely appreciate you posting on here and if/when it happens, I'll be amped to have your bro come on board!
Hmm, I feel like your brother being in the loop about Michigan's upcoming commits is also a hint.
Coincidence, I think not.
It's a hint that Matt Godin is really...
...drum roll, please...
...Raback Omaba!
Thanks for the further suspense !!! Just kidding.
Absolutely no offense to O'Brien meant by this, but I get the impression that it's a bigger name recruit than that.
If it's bigger than O'Brien, from the mid-west and on defense, then that only seems to leave Ross or Richardson. Could be Wormley or Day, but either one of those are about on the same level as O'Brien from what I know. Ross and Richardson would be the only other ones getting such national attention. Plus, didn't Richardson say that he was annoucing at one of the all star games?
WRONG!
Sorry. I just wanted to do my impression of John McLaughlin.
Issue 4: Who is the best coach in Michigan football history? Lloyd Carr or Bo Schembechler?
WRONG
The answer is Chalmers W. Elliott.
With all respect to those guys, Bucknuts has Wormley rated as the No. 1 player in Ohio. OSU recruiting-watchers were drooling over him until it started to look like he might to go Michigan.

It is not danny.
Your source is wrong about O'Brien. There have been some weird things going on with defensive tackles and O'Brien is included. They've "pulled" a few offers from DT's. They'll apparently have the opportunity to be reevaluated, but for now O'Brien is nowhere near a commitment to Michigan, nor would they take it at this time.
They pulled the offer to O'Brien? Does this mean they are confident on a few (2-3) DT commitments of his caliber?
maybe it is dwayne staford and adophus washington in another package deal, they said they want to play together
This is interesting. I think people haven't really analyzed the "very public" description that TomVH ascribed to this particular committment. I think probably only a few candidates would qualify as "very public" on their own...for example, a lot of the recruits' names thrown out, while big grabs for us, would they really make such an enormous splash to warrant that comment? It seems to me that, barring an ultra-name (like Kiel) or a high-profile defection (like Dunn, which I struggle to believe, considering he hasn't visited Ann Arbor), it's hard to imagine what could qualify.
BUT, as you observed, the committment of TWO elite players in tandem, as here, both heavily coveted by Ohio State, would certainly be VERY public.
This class seems to be shaping up real nicely. We should have 10+ committments by the middle of May.
Defense. See above.
Does anyone know if the upcoming commit(s) have anything to do with the "silent" commit from a couple weeks ago?
Does anyone know if the upcoming commit(s) have anything to do with the "silent" commit from a couple weeks ago?
According to Tom Beaver via scout thread: answer is no
No, none of these have been the silent commit. With respect to the player who is the silent commit i won't say his name but it has became pretty obvious on this board and take a look at players who are michigan leans who have announcement dates set in the near future and that will narrow your list for you.
yea... figured it was Godin... possibly Thompson. JW if they were at all related. GREAT news in any case.
talked to sources on michigan football team stating its ross. neg all you want but its truth be told.. come on down james ross and go blue
c'mon man! don't be "that guy".
Pics or it didn't happen.
If it is Ross as I think it will be, Michigan will have the 2nd, 3rd, and 9th rated middle linebackers according to Scout. What a haul! Michigan looks like the new Linebacker-U.
