didnt riemersma play for

didnt riemersma play for buffalo, tuman for steelers

no poblem

i have no problem with the way fitzgerald acted, if  someone were to put a camera in my house while i watched a UM game, i would probably look similar. he just happen to have a tv camera capture his actions, i honestly believe he had no idea how dumb he looked

monty madaris

i believe before the big house bbq tom hinted that mich might recieve a commit from wr monty madaris( not 100% sure about that, but i think)  but he didnt make up for that, now i have heard that we are totally out for him. can anyone confirm this?

comparing

how does keil stack up to morris or even bellamy?  also, how does a tom strobel or  mario ojemedia compare with brennen beyer? i see star ratings on all these guys but its hard to say which one i would rather have, like diamond and thurston are both 4 star tackles that both could easily commit to michigan, but with the class filling up fast, if they both wanted to commit late in the process, which is a better fit? i know we would like to take both, but just as an example, what if we only  take one. i dont see alot of film and only have a list of offers with star rankings on them to compare. also , did anyone else find it surprising that reeves said the recent commits have hurt michigans chances and is now going to camp at notre dame, even though they have tee shepard and ronald darby commited?

smu revisited

what if the sanctions are very severe? could there be another smu where players are allowed to transfer without penalty? what happens with curtis and doran grant, who havnt accually gone to the school yet, or braxton miller? could coaches be allowed to reopen recruitment on these incoming freshmen? what if they transfer and have to sit out a year per ncaa rules, and then they just wouldnt have to redshirt?  i know we have to see what accually develops but you cant blame a guy for thinking ahead to disassemble the program. obtw, for all the osu fans that say tressel made "one" mistake because he was trying to protect players, is like saying al capone only forgot to file taxes

assuming osu

what if osu does get major sanctions, and then wormley, washington, strobel, pittman, and odenigbo all decide to commit to um on the same day? we cant take them all, we arent in the sec, is there a pecking order for these guys? not just them, but what happens on any occasion when there are not enough spots and multiple guys all commit , trying to scoop up the last spot.

he tweeted

he (tom) tweeted he knew who it was

anyone remember

anyone remember that chris barnett said something to the effect of good news coming and something about kentucky even though pike had already committed to auburn? did that ever come out what he was talking about?

maybe washington

maybe it is dwayne staford and adophus washington in  another package deal, they said they want to play together

i hope its not pike

i liked pike when he first was being recruited, but if it is him, he doesnt seem very loyal. anyone that would flop that fast probably seems to like the spotlight, aka dee hart, and would not seem to be a solid commit, coupled with the fact that he got thrown out of the 7 0n 7 game, i think i would rather have keil, plus i think he is rated higher.  i really hope its day, we need dts

strange feeling?

i agree with other posters, is strange good or bad? scout says it knows where he is going and only has the story on auburns  page, not on mich or purdues. is gunner keil still an option or maty mauk or are we putting all our eggs in zekes basket?  just my opinion on the silent is bolden, i think he likes the school but seen the linebacker class shrinking fast so he want to secure his spot

no surprise

its really no surprise that nothing is going to happen, if its ok to rape and show no remorse for a death, then a dui surely isnt going to warrant a suspension. maybe floyd will pull a tressel and  self-suspend himself for the oct 15th bye week because its the hororable thing to do

camren williams

i see camren williams commited to penn state, does this effect our status with amari reeves, i felt like we really wanted reeves and williams would have been a bonus

jarontay jones

anyone see the defensive end from stonemountain, ga,  i think his name is jarontay jones, i dont know wtf, but in his picture he seems to have a big set of tatas. just saying

he will never be fired

he will never be fired, they will never have sanctions, this is O$U, they make the ncaa way too much money. they will keep being the dirtiest program , they will keep winning, they will keep making $$$$.  the ncaa scoffs at the notion that they look the other way with O$U because of money, much like rafeal palmero scoffed when accused of using steroids

he will be suspended

he will be suspended for a year, but he will be able to coach games and practices and such, and recruit. this will set a another good example for the suspended players who get to play in bowl games.

notre dame back in

notre dame seems to be back in the elite, everyones list seems to be ohio state and notre dame thats in the midwest. they really seem to have gotten back into the mix fast as far as being a top recruits favorites. still burns me when guys like ross say how much he loves ohio state. also when is mich junior day?

not those guys

not really into those guys you named, but you nailed the positions. i would have really liked to sign chad greenway and eric weddle before greenways franchise tag. now weddle and richard marshall and paul posluzny  along with resigning houston. leaving a interior linemen and power running back and burner wideout for the offense, another corner ,an outside linebacker or two, for the d. maybe owen marecic and alex henery are some luxury picks if we had more than 5. seems like the guys you named had age(asomugha, wilson), off field problems(sensabaugh, spears) , injury(sanders, hillenmeyer), or just suck(gholston, hawk) problems, although hawk did pick it up when barnett(dirtiest player in the league) went down. i really like quan sturdivant and davon house for mid round picks who can help this defense, i really think we are only a player or two away, maybe three. for real this time, not like the other times that has been said over the years. we need a lot better production from our outside linebackers, and better push on 3rd and 1( im talking to you raiola)

sorry off topic but

sorry off topic but can someone tell me if chris carter signing with osu was already counted or is this one less offer they can make next year. again, sorry if not related but i cant post topics

its a little sad

its a little sad when it seems every ohio kids wants an osu offer and we seem to wait and see if we can clam some of the leftovers, while a great mich kid calls oklahoma his best offer. mich only seems to be the mix with most local talent, with alot last year going elsewhere, where osu is gold in thier state. i know there are exceptions and 2011 recruiting was hampered by a coaching change, but i dont know if hoke can change this course anytime quick.

9-4

9-4 would be ok if we beat the teams we should , maybe lose to better teams, but show that we are improving. last years 7-5 team may have been the worst wolverine 7-5 in history, and  thier bowl performance proved it. 9-4 with a great recruiting class shows the arrow is pointing up. on a side note wouldnt it be cool if chris rock came in right away and played awesome, him and roh could be dubbed "rock and roh" all night, party every day! go blue!

azblue

never mentioned rr as being to blame about losing them or percentages on home grown talent, i simply stated that hoke has done a good job working with a short deck. i dont care why we lost them or who the coaches were, just that i wish we could have got them on board. you can really learn a lot of facts if you shut the hell up and read carefully, i hope  that was enough in-depth for you

last 6

barnett, alexander, rawls, mclure, bryant, tim jernigan (wishful thinking)

home cooking

i think hoke has already been pretty successful in his short recruiting stint, especially if he gets another 4 star guy or two. what has been disappointing is that we used to dominate home grown talent, while we got justice hayes(not initially) and brennen beyer, we failed on the top lb(msu), the top wr(tenn), the top k(nd), and the top lineman(psu) with jacob fisher also on the fence and showers in florida. next years talent is supposed to be better and if hoke can bring it home, he will definately be loved

all recruits welcome

remember will campbell was 5 star, while mike hart was 3, its a good measuring stick, but its not everything, as long as they are the kind of players hoke likes and he feels he can devolope them, im happy. that being said, are there any 4 or 5 star players out there still concidering mich, not the kids visiting this weekend or next, but maybe some sleepers hoke might reel in on signing day

illinois bluefan

i dont live in michigan so dont know who those guys are, please give a little info on the three, pos, size, projected star rankings? thanks

trust the hokester

love that comment, thats going to be my new slogan for 2011

slot guy out?

i agree with alot of you about lucien, maybe flowers is more the type of wr hoke wants, but what happens to all these smallish slot recievers mich has right now? odoms, grady, robinson, gallon,  barpol? do you think any of these guys transfer now that we are out of the spread? it certainly seems like there isnt room for all them. 6-1 190, and 4 stars and want to come here seems like we shouldnt pass it up

what do they do with overflow

i saw on rivals that south carolina now sits at 31 kids recruiting class, and are in the hunt for clowney and a couple other higher profile guys, how many spots do they have available. also, auburn now gets christian westerman, but had to scrambleto make room kris frost, i see they are also in the running for alot of the top guys left, when these five and four star kids decide to join, what do they do? just bump a 2 or 3 star guy and say , "sorry, but this kid is better"

fitz

i hope it s fitz touissaint, he seems to  be the most complete back if he can stay healthy, at 6-0 and 187 , shaw seems tohave a recievers body. i think i heard fred jackson say fitz reminded him of chris perry. i think.

not kovacs hating

i didnt mean to say i didnt like him, at times he was our best player on defense last year, but when a walkon is your best player, something is wrong. i also think he is smart and steady, that is why i would have him start the season over higher rated players, just at some point, i would hope that someone would be able to overtake the job, this would mean the defense would get better and more athletic with him maybe playing a backup or in nickle situations

sorry

just the first part about no big bodies and seemingly all corners, then i kinda went on a rant.

dont see it that way

i think cam is a great athlete , but not a good safety, it seems like the play has to unfold before he reacts( see kyle rudolph) while being so gifted athleticly he can get away with sometimes, sometimes.  i like the guys ive seen mentioned on this board, josh furman, kenny demans, mike jones, and jake ryan. throw in a hopefully growing isiah bell and jb fitzgerald for depth and i think we are going to do fine in a 4-3 scheme. i like marvin robinson and kovacs to start out with at safety with hopefully someone a little more athletic to beat out kovacs as the year goes on, maybe carvin johnson.

agree

i know richrod ignored the trenches and its too late in the game for hoke, but it seems like there is nothing in the form of bigbodies, christian pace was the only guy from last year and this year might yield bryant and posada, i hope lewan and schofield can hold down the fort till hoke gets some 5 star studs next year. i cant believe we gush about saving a 3 star linebacker or getting a 3 star cb to commit  while ohio state and notre dame are pulling in 5 stars every other day. this is michigan for christs sake, we need to expect more. hoping that hoke shows his stuff in 2012 class

hoke

hoke looks an awful lot like bobby from the sopranos

d tackles

i thought hoke might put more of push on defensive linemen since coming in to try and salvage the class. it just seems like this class is made up of a bunch of corners, this 4 star lb would help but are thier any good tackles left ?
