Go Away Jose! Mourinho sacked by Chelsea
Mourinho sacked by Chelsea:
http://www.espnfc.us/chelsea/story/2685417/chelsea-sack-jose-mourinho-a…
Jose made Chelsea the most hated soccer team in the world. He lost his players ages ago. Him recently saying he was 'betrayed' by them was last straw.

wow 37M pounds cost to sack him last I read. Jose is still "winning."

37 Million pounds for severance pay, WOW. Kirk Ferentz, Charlie Weis and Les Miles want to talk with his agent.

I thought for sure this thread was going to be about Trump :-D

Better, more informative title:
OT: Go Away Jose! Mourinho sacked by Chelsea
Also, not sure it's OT season yet. So not sure how relevant this is to post....
edit: not sure who negged, but original post was "Go Away Jose!".

Also Jose did not make Chelsea the most hated team. They were already there before he arrived.

Naturally we're going to want to talk about our Lions and how much they suck this season.
If this were say, an Oxford Univeristy sports blog, I bet making a non-OT thread about Chelsea soccer would also be natural.
Either way, I'm cool with this thread as a West Ham fan, the schadenfruede is undeniable even though the hammers kinda suck too.

For non-soccer fans, you should regard Jose as a really remarkable fellow. He has an incredible streak of taking good teams to championships his first or second year of being hired to coach them.
And almost all of them fell to pieces the third year.
It's the ultimate deal with the devil: Want a championship badly? Hire him. Then just cover your eyes for what comes next.

More curious to see who they go after vs where The Special One ends up.

They should transfer Diego Costa. To Liverpool, thanks much.
(Mourinho is proof of what I often tell my kids. If you're going to be an arrogant ass, you'd better be perpetually successful. Mourinho had tremendous success at Chelsea, but burned so many bridges along the way. Given the plunge Chelsea has taken this year, it's not too surprising. Of course it helps to have billionaire ownership - since I don't think manager's salaries fall under the new "competitiveness" rules. Writing down Mourinhos' severance for Chelsea is like me deciding to order chips and salsa as an appetizer.)

To put Costa and Terry on the same page is criminal. John Terry is a legend and Costa a streak of piss.
Chelsea will remain a thorn in the side of obsessed losers no matter their place in the table. All of it is quite entertaining yet flattering. Chelsea here.. Chelsea there.. Chelsea makes 2 appearances on MGoBlog in 4 days

What's wrong with Terry? The allegations of racism that turned out to be bullshit?
December 17th, 2015 at 10:39 AM ^
December 17th, 2015 at 10:44 AM ^
Well, they weren't really BS.
How about the Wayne Bridge incident?
December 17th, 2015 at 10:48 AM ^
Only one to blame for the Wayne Bridge incident is Bridge's girl
December 17th, 2015 at 10:55 AM ^
Your comment about "Bridge's girl" is downright offensive.
Terry was banned four games and lost his captaincy and did not appeal the ban, and apologized for using unacceptable words. He admitted using racist words (which I refuse to copy/paste here). How is that BS? That is unacceptable, 100%.
Also, the 9/11 incident at Heathrow. Let me guess - that was the Americans' fault for being at the airport.
Terry is not a good person.

They weren't? Are you sure? And you mean the incident when the tabloids came out and apologized for making a BS story? But let's just believe what we want to believe because fuck Chelsea, right?
December 17th, 2015 at 10:58 AM ^
If you think my criticism of a man who made fun of Americans on 9/11, who stepped out on his girlfriend with the mother of his friend's child, and then admittedly used racist words on a soccer field is because of Chelsea, I feel sorry for you.
Gullit, Vialli, LeBeouf, Laudrup, Le Saux, Hughes. I am a long-time fan of Chelsea. I'm not a fan of Terry. There is a difference.

Man, you're not having a good morning defending the indefensible:
Lampard wouldn’t say what was wrong about reports he and then-teammates John Terry, Eidur Gudjohnsen and Jody Morris mocked American travelers after a drinking session at an airport hotel, stripping, cursing and vomiting in front of them.
One source said New York City FC’s front office had concerns and questioned Lampard about it, but were satisfied with the answers. Another claimed Lampard had been out with the trio but actually left and wasn’t present at the time of the incident, but out of loyalty stoically accepted being fined two weeks’ wages.
And:
In September 2001, Terry and three teammates were fined two weeks' wages by Chelsea for an incident involving players and American tourists at a Heathrow airport bar in the immediate aftermath of the September 11 attacks.
December 17th, 2015 at 12:10 PM ^
Kinda sucks when you find out the guy who you are mocking is both a bigger fan AND more knowledgeable than you.

But he did get his teammate's girlfriend pregnant at one point, so there's that. There are a number of other things people don't like about him as well.
December 17th, 2015 at 10:53 AM ^
Which is another allegation that the tabloids even came out and apologized for fabricating.

has to do with Kareem Walker.

I will find it especially tasty if Arsenal wins the league in the same season that Mourinho was sacked by Chelsea. Especially tasty. It's very tasty right now though.
December 17th, 2015 at 10:43 AM ^
Sunil Gulati should give Mourinho a blank check to coach US Soccer.
Klinsmann is a good administrator but a poor coach. Keep him as technical director and bring in Jose. The USMNT would contend for a semi-final spot at the 2018 World Cup, at worst, with Jose in charge.

Man. 37 million pounds, probably close to $65-70 million to not do a job. What a life.

why Chelsea went from great to having to fight off relegation in one year?
Also the douche image if you don't mind.
