Going to Minnesota for the battle for the B1G West. This is the first time ever Minnesota has hosted Gameday. Not too surprised, our game has the higher rankings but there's a lot more at stake in Minnesota.

I'll be honest and say I've never even given Fox a look.  But I enjoy Gameday.  Find myself freeze framing my screen and trying to read the signs more than listening to the commentators.  Dez has grown into a fine commentator and reps U of M well.  I could do without the fat, middle aged, bald guy with a lisp getting more and more camera time.  And I sure as shit don't need three hours of it.

Side question: Has anyone ever cracked the case of why the fuck the Polesmokers were the celebrity pickers last year?

I've complained about Fox's commercials a bit this year, but I was just shocked at how poorly today's ESPN broadcast was handled. Inexplicable missed replays (Two point conversion and Indiana personal foul some point after that were just horrible), the most boilerplate announcing I've heard this year, camera crews or whoever the hell runs things deciding fan reactions and players on the sideline were more important to show than the actual game, etc.

Gameday really screwed up by making it a 3 hr show. You could do everything you need to do in 90 minutes. Now they just fill time with Tom Rinaldi pieces about Tua's hip like he died. Super watered down now and it's made it much less interesting

Good to see Minnesota getting some recognition   They are having a good season and deserve it. The game is still huge whether game day is here or not. Beat OSU

It makes sense given that everyone expects OSU to beat us fairly easily. I think the national scene has like zero trust in Michigan to win games they aren't favored to win at this point.

With regard to Gameday in general, of course there is less attention paid to it now because ABC/ESPN no longer can be counted to have the best games. A Saturday where the big noon game is on FOX and the big 3.30 game on CBS is a problem for them, and it's been happening.

I think they screwed up letting the Big Ten go to FOX for most of the coverage while CBS owns the best SEC games. Those conferences are the ones with the most fans and who generate the most attention no matter how good ACC, Big 12 or Pac teams are.
