With 7:12 left in the first half, 13-6 Bengals. Raiders have actually outgained Cinci so far as they try to retain their interim head coach and leave Harbaugh for us.

With the Bengals playing well and Ohio State losing to Michigan 42-27, you have to wonder if the state of Ohio will become more interested in the NFL than in college football.

Urban and co. were so sure Dwayne Haskins was better than Burrow. A lot thought Martell was going to pass Burrow as well. Well done guys.

This is my counter-argument when people respond to suggestions that we switch quarterbacks by insisting that we have to defer to the coaches in their decisions. And Harbaugh's no different -- he started Milton over McNamara, for instance, and only brought in McNamara when Milton finally broke down.

I'm not meaning to jump on Harbaugh, of course. But the Moneyball phenomenon of looking at actual data rather than gut feelings and coaching instincts hasn't really sunk through to major college sports yet, as much as we may believe otherwise.

There are of course many counter-examples, and of course often (usually?) coaches are absolutely correct. Still, almost all college coaches seem to rely too heavily, in my opinion, on what they see in practice, and on their evaluation of the famous "athletic ability," instead of actually giving quarterbacks a chance to show their skills in live games.

I, for one, thought Dylan McAffrey did really well in his limited time on the field, and I wish we had had the opportunity to see him try and lead the team last year.

Not the whole story. Burrow broke his throwing hand preseason when he was battling Haskins for the starting QB job and required surgery which pushed him behind Haskins. Once Burrow saw he wasn't going to catch Haskins, he transferred. And besides, Haskins went on to break a ton of B1G records in his one year as a starter

I hate when WRONG CALLED instant replays ,cost teams a game !!!  Why even use the system ,when a good %  are wrongly called .  Clearly whistle blows  on the TD

Rule 7. BALL IN PLAY. DEAD BALL. SCRIMMAGE

Article 1. Dead Ball Declared

An official shall declare the ball dead and the down ended:

(o) when an official sounds the whistle erroneously while the ball is still in play, the ball becomes dead immediately.

(3) If the ball is a loose ball resulting from a legal forward pass...the ball is returned to the previous spot and the down is replayed.

Go Bengals!!! Glad the bengals won, the bo curse is over if there ever was one.  Raiders, highly doubt they are after Harbaugh at all for any reason.  And hope Harbaugh is getting this team ready for next fall!   Go Blue, beat the Rainbow Warriors.
