Q to the faithful: Is RR superstitious about walking on the yard lines? Watch the ~25 second mark.
October 29th, 2010 at 6:57 PM ^
Maybe he didn't want to get paint on his shoes.
October 29th, 2010 at 7:00 PM ^
I thought the exact same thing. He definitely took a bigger stride to avoid the line

I do the same thing. It's not superstition for me, just my little tinge of OCD coming out. (Wish it could force me to keep my kitchen a little cleaner sometimes too... that'd be nice.)

it's a great shot and then I dig the way he stands at midfield w/ John Falk. I'm just thinking of the great stories and advice big John has for RR.

No sense in jinxing the team!
October 29th, 2010 at 7:04 PM ^
Yea i think he just didnt want to get paint on his shoes. If you watch at both 31 seconds and 35 seconds(behind Mike Martin) you can see players stepping over the lines as well. I could be wrong though

I'm getting that tingly feeling all over that I get before a big win. This team is ready.

"This team is ready"
I'm feelin that same way. +uno

31-17 it may seem disapointing 31 offensivly but the 17 on defense is really what I want to see. Progress as kids get playing time.
October 29th, 2010 at 7:27 PM ^
When RR says "hungry" does he mean that literally? I assume they eat lunch, but do they snack before the game?
October 29th, 2010 at 7:53 PM ^
is a little peak into who RR is. I get a kick out of people that say they hate RR. I always ask
Do you know him? With all the trash thrown his way, His candor, confidence, and humble nature is unflappable. Can't wait until it all comes together soon and those fake UM fans are put in their place. Go Blue !!!
October 29th, 2010 at 9:32 PM ^
no shit. All the RR haters out there need to go 'F' themselves...cock suckers! Better yet, they should move to Ohio if they don't like where the program is heading. Or, maybe they can move to East Lansing and go around assaulting people and stealing computer equipment with the rest of the football team. Did I say Dantonio was a dick?

Elevation of discourse right here.

You can see a bunch of guys posing for a picture in the distance behind RR. They seem loose. I like it.
I'm sure that picture is somewhere on Twitter.

It sounds like they got healthy and back-to-basics during the bye week. Now it's time to lay some wood on PSU and get the "W".
October 29th, 2010 at 8:51 PM ^
I find it totally incomprehensible that so many people assert he's "unlikeable" or that he's "bad with the media." I wonder if those people simply can't separate their disappointment over the quality of his teams from the quality of RR himself as a person. You wan't somebody unlikeable? Try Nick Saban. Or Dantonio. Or Spurrier. Or Kiffin. Or Hope.

My kids have learned that "hate" is not a word we use in our family. Instead, they use "dislike with great intensity".

Team, Team, Team.
Go get em' Rich.
October 29th, 2010 at 9:39 PM ^
Interviewer - when you ask a question, let RR answer it. Don't start answering your own question and interrupt Rich. Other than that great video.

Since the game is not until Sat 8pm why don't they travel Saturday morning and do the walk through that afternoon?
October 29th, 2010 at 11:27 PM ^
Teams don't like to travel before a game on that same day if they don't have to.
October 30th, 2010 at 9:57 AM ^
Should I assume football players do not schedule classes on Fridays in the Fall so they can travel? It appears their walk through was in the afternoon at PSU so they would need to leave AA in the morning.
What about other sports such as hockey that have Friday games? Do they travel on Thursdays if they want to avoid travel on game days?
I always was amazed by athletes being able to manage sports and school.

Kinda surprised the school hasnt mentioned anything about the new jerseys. If they really do give an advantage, you would think they'd have broken them out by now... Think we'll see them tomorrow?
