Friday Night Sports Thread

Submitted by Avant's Hands on

If this is too much overlap with the drinking thread then go ahead and delete or merge, but there is a great night of sports tonight other than Michigan hockey. Right now Kentucky is hosting Texas and afterward Florida is playing Kansas. And in case no one has heard about this, Arizona and Oregon are most likely playing for a playoff spot at 9 on FOX.

I hate UK, but damn do I love watching them play defense this year. Wow. I saw a stat this week that they are holding opposing offenses to 28% from the floor.

Looks like a pretty small crowd for the pac12 title. Maybe a neutral site game on a Friday is a bad idea. Why not play these games on campus? Didn't the pac12 do that for a while?

Oregon cheerleaders or USC? USC used to be my favorites with those short sweater skirts with the long sleeves, super classic. but the Oregon cheerleaders wear absolutely nothing, are hot as hell and are currently my favorites.

I admit he may have a better chance at a championship there -

but he's taking a big chance.

I know we would have developed the heck out of him here - I'm not sure that's going to happen there.

Just looked up what ESPN ranked him coming out of highschool... He was only a 2 Star (Grade 71) recruit! Ranked the 123rd QB in the class.

Idk if everyone else knew that but i sure as hell am surprised by it

(not that rankings are always right)

That was such a Rich Rod fumble. His players always seem to have some very inopportune fumbles. About to be down 10-0 his offense touching the ball yet.

EDIT: Wow, pleasantly surprised RR's defense held up to just give up a FG after that turnover.

That was pretty good tackle in space to force fourth. And a turnover on downs. Oregon not taking the three points and it's still a one possession game. I feel like you can frustrate them into wanting more

I'm still not convinced that RR's defense could hold up against the Wisconsin's of the world, but it's really good against teams like Oregon.

I may actually watch a full Oregon game tonight, instead of just one or two quarters. I’ve only watched a few of their games from start to finish, since they usually come on so late in the eastern time zone. For some reason, Arizona always plays Oregon tough. I'm curious to see if Arizona can continue to do it.
