I got it for early season basketball a couple years ago.  Didn't find any value in it except that.  Just get it and cancel it.  I'm going to do the same.

IIRC, BTN+ games are usually student-run productions so expect it to be a little (or a lot) choppy at times.

More broadly, BTN+ offers coverage of a lot of non-revenue sports, so if you're big into those, you'll probably find value.

Get IPTV. You can watch any game you want for $100/ year. Google it / ask your hommies / go to your local Indian store and look at their physical message board / ads.

The radio broadcast is free -- use the Varsity Network app (or, if you're a SiriusXM or TuneIn Pro subscriber, you can use those).

BTN+ is not worth the price.  From everything I've seen -- I've never subscribed, because I've seen enough to know better -- it's absolute amateur hour across the board.

It's basically run by Connor Stalions's iPhone Brigade.

If you were in SE Michigan, I'd say spend the money and go to the game. Seatgeek says tix available for $1.  

Another Friday, another choice of Crisler for MBB or Yost for hockey, with little help available from YTTV.  Sigh.

BTN+ essentially lets you watch what is on the jumbotron.  It's an embarrassment that they charge for it.

Pirated streams abound, my dude. Just fit your computer with a condom.

In cases like these, I check YouTube for a live stream.  That usually works.  

I got it for the exhibition game this year. It was $10 and I almost immediately regretted it. The coverage was not good. I cancelled as soon as the game was done. Now I kinda wish I had kept it for the month for this game. I’m not sure why it’s not on one of the stations the big ten uses? Between all the Fox affiliates and now peacock, every single game should be broadcast. 

Any money going to the Big 10 is wasted money. Ugh. I hate that it has come to this.

I signed up for the exhibition game, just for one month. It will be nice that I’ll get to see the game this Friday. I will likely miss the Memphis game next week due to travel but I think with the BTN+ sub I’ll be able to watch a replay of the whole game. 
 

The biggest cons are the broadcast and broadcasters are subpar. I’m sure they’re doing their best to make it in sports media, but it’s just not very good. The other con is, for the price, you only get content for one team, which just feels strange to me.

I subscribe to Michigan content only for BTN+, because I watch about 90% of my sports content on delay, so the oft-suggested solution of just finding a free stream doesn't work for me.

It is, as many others have said, an incredibly poor quality broadcast. Don't expect decent (or multiple) camera angles, don't expect replays, don't expect accurate identification or pronunciation of players, and definitely don't expect any meaningful commentary on the game itself.

Basketball is usually a bit better, but the hockey broadcasts are an embarrassment. Not uncommon for the audio sync to be delayed by several seconds, and in one game this year the audio was completely off for the better part of an entire period. They did, at least, seem to fix the issue where they would display the player headshot from the jumbotron immediately after a scored goal, which meant you didn't get to see the next 20-30 seconds of play.

With all that said, if you want to watch the games no matter what, and free streams don't work for you, it's an option.

I love this team. I do not love giving money to the conference. I look forward to hearing how the game goes. 

Even before the conferences decision last week….. no, BTN+ has always sucked and has never been worth the price, hopefully someone will stream on twitch or something otherwise it’s radio for me

Like others, I have the annual 'Michigan only' BTN+ sub, which I got for hockey away games, since I go to most home games.  The quality is almost always bad, one or two cameras and student-level announcers.  Last time I watched, I turned off the audio and put on WTKA (available nationwide on Varsity Network).  I guess if I had to, I could survive on just that audio, but I will choose to watch Michigan on a poisoned network over not watching at all.  Go Blue!  

oh wtf. we're michigan fergodsakes. any time my team is not on tv, i am apoplectic. which, i realize is such a crazy thing because its such a privilege. 

I will point out - growing up, there was hardly anything - we reached a zenith the past few years, but with Peacock and other streaming content like the "Pac12" network which is never on actual tv.... we're going back the other way.

I don't really even watch Thursday night football because of th eheadache of flipping between football on Prime (NFL) and going to regular tv. Not figuring that shit out is so irritating. Integrate this shit for a seamless experience and you'll get my $$$$
