Friday drinking thread

In the vein of it's 5 o'clock somewhere, I needed to start already.  A Bulleit Rye Manhattan to take the edge off.  Must include Antica Formula vermouth.

What are you / will you be drinking to kick-off the end of this crazy week?

They have two kinds and both come off a little sharp / boozy to me.  Not smooth at all.

Smirnoff is highly underrated as a smooth vodka, especially if you're mixing.  I like Kettle One if I'm straight sipping on the rocks, Which is even better a little dirty (insert joke about the Mrs.).

If you make your way up to North County try Dogleg Brewing in Vista.  High quality, consistent brews.  Great people too.

They have started to distribute to golf courses in San Diego and Orange County, so if you are a golfer you might run into their beers at the course.

They opened late last year, so like most other small breweries, they are struggling through this pandemic.    Support the smaller breweries.

Other good choices in North County: Legacy, Ebullition, Burgeon

So I take my father to the ER last night. He's started having continence issues while there, so I leave his room so the nurse can handle the situation. I felt I was in the way standing in ER, so I go to the waiting room. The BTN is on and it's a Michigan game. FOOTBALL!!!  Oh shit it's Michigan at Iowa 2016. All hell........a shitty game but, it's football. So I start watching. Oops, Mister you cannot be in the waiting room, either wait outside in your car or in your dad's room in ER.

Now he just called and said, I'm ready to leave. He was admitted last night and will spend tonight there as well. Sorry Dad, it does not work that way. I can't just come pick you up and take you home.

So with that said - What beer do you recommend?

Cracked an All Day IPA almost as soon as I walked in the door.  I think I have one more of those, then it might be Miller Lite or gin and tonics depending on how things go.

It's also taco night, so Friday is alright in my book.

Dang, a Manhattan sounds really good right now. Just had a salted caramel ale at the Clifford Lake Inn. Now that I'm home, thinking about that Manhattan or maybe a little ECBP C919.?

Cheers and happy Friday everyone.
