I'm starting to think that Najee Harris is going to be the name we bring up here in a "what if" sense. The biggest close call since Kevin Garnett. I just don't get the sense that we're winning whatever battle it is for his services.
My guess is that he told the staff that he wanted to play for Michigan, but then got home and there was a tug-o-war between us and Bama and Bama won out.
This is a recruitment I'll be interested in hearing about when all is said and done. My guess is the quiet exterior obscures a fierce battle beneath the surface.

Correct. He already picked a school. And they are not the good guys. Bama and OSU is a painful thing to have to watch if it comes to fruition again. By the way, I know we are never suppose to mention the unmentionable boogeyman of the south, Mr. PF the SEC Turtle, but did anyone else catch the bullshit being spewed about our fanbase today on Mike and MIke? It is the worst I have ever heard from that turdgasm and really over the line into a whole new unprofessionalism even for him.

Just listened to the Finebaum clip via podcast. I hate him, such an ignorant POS. Saying Michigan is by far the most obnoxious fan base while he continues to ignore the arrogance of the SEC. "I feel bad for the referres of the orange bowl's families because I'm sure Harbaugh has looked in to their history to have an excuse if the game doesn't go his way." What a joke.

I know the prevailing attitude on here is things like that don't deserve our attention. I disagree. He has a national platform on Mike and Mike to spread that type of BS and it always goes unchallenged because the type of people on here, meaning Michigan fans, think they are above it, which plays into the stereotype he promulgates. That is a vicous cycle, no? He said Notre Dame he can respect though because they stand for something. I almost threw up in my mouth a little at that one.
Anyway, he is a fucking troll of course, so don't kill me on this one for bringing that guy up. My hunch is he was conceived in much the same way as Freddy Krueger was.

One reason that I might pull for OSU would be if they somehow destroyed Bama, indicating that our "loss" to OSU means we are a very credible contender for the crown.
Ehhh. No can do.
I guess a very close loss by OSU would get us to the same place. That's the ticket - I want Bama to win in a sludgefart-fest of a game, and to beat OSU on a contested call made by a Tuscaloosa-born ref who pats Bama players on the butt with frequency throughout the game.

You're both crazy. OSU winning the title and us pacing them in the arms race would easily be the better scenario. We're trending to a place that few rivals have been. Maaaybe Alabama and LSU had it for a while. I can't think of two rivals being 1a and 1b on a consistent basis outside of maybe those teams...
Best case at this point is that OSU loses horribly and we get everyone left on our board, but if I'm given the option of taking a deal with the devil Sign me up...
