FFS...we cant even make it through a bye week without criticizing Harbaugh. 

Fleck won against a highly overrated PSU team and people are saying he's better. Let's see Minnesota play that game away or a tougher BIG schedule before we dawn him better than JH. Having a schedule riddled with opponents that are sub .500 currently, versus a schedule with 5 top 20 teams isn't remotely close. 

PJ Fleck's 2019 season = Brady Hoke's first year.

While I think Fleck is a better coach than Hoke, I also think that he's been lucky as hell this year. Luck matters when it comes to having a successful season, but you can't bank on luck to continue. I hope that Fleck's luck continues for the rest of the season but I wouldn't invest in it.

If Fleck is able to maintain this success over the next couple seasons I'll give more credit to the coaching. But he has won a lot of close games against inferior talent this year. This PSU game was the first underdog win and they weren't playing in a white out.

Last year everyone wanted Brohm to be our coach. The grass is always greener.

It was a good ride for awhile.

No, he’s a novelty and his Schtik won’t work a Blue Blood School. But he’s a good coach. But I would take Harbaugh hands down and not even look back. 

Minnesota had a similar 4th and 1, to the one UM had at happy valley.  Fleck went for it and went down to score, UM punted and PSU went down to score.  Those scores turned out to be the difference in each game. 

If JH is coaching Minny or LSU they both lose today, IMO. 

I think JH is a better coach than Fleck, but Fleck grasps the modern game flow better.  He also elevates his QB, JH romanticizes punting to his QBs. 

Who is this OP? I’ll take Harbaugh any day.

Fleck will move on inside of 3 years and we can still wonder what the hell new is going to ever happen at Michigan.  

The whole Big Ten is populated w freak athletes by any objective measure. Coaching is all about being a force multiplier. Look around the conference and tell me who multiples the most? 
 

How far down the list in the Big before you get to Harbaugh?

Do I think he should be canned? No, but he sure as hell doesn’t deserve a lifetime blank check.  And watching Fleck McGyver great teams out of WMU and Minny can’t help but make one wish they had a shiny fast car too.

MY assessment of Harbaugh:

He came to Michigan too late. If he had come here HOT on the tails of the Stanford thing, and come in after Rich Rod--it would have been the right time and it would have been magic. BUT he decided to go NFL, or Michigan turned their noses up to him (remember how stucky-uppy everyone was over his comments about Michigan and academics??)

When he left San Francisco he came with his tail between his legs. It was too late and it wasnt where he wanted to be. He had a taste of NFL, had spent 15 years there, and that was his gig. Not this.

He tried being gimmicky and all MY SHIRTS OFF ARRRRG CLIMBING TREE SLEEPING OVER RECRUITS HOUSE I AM A WILD AND CRAZY GUY...

And I do not buy that shit for one second that his trophy wife likes Michigan. She is Cali girl all the way. Who would like Michigan after California??? Maybe some poor schlepp who cannot afford California and you like hanging around fat alcoholics who blame the world for their shitty lives--but other than that?

Im not so sure PJ Fleck would come to Michigan, but they better move if thats who they want--Michigan blew it with Miles and Harbaugh by not hiring them at the Right Moment. Look at OSU--they get Meyer just in time, then can him when the shit gets too deep and hire Day. 

Right now Michigan and Notre Dame are barely keeping their heads above water and they both better get something done soon.

If even serious ? Harbaugh by far.  In fact Harbaugh checks all the boxes for me as the Michigan Head Coach.  Aside from his Coaching skills, knowledge of the game, contacts, and success as a Player (AFC Player of the Year) and Coach (successful everywhere), he loves the University of Michigan and has integrity.  We had a game stolen by some bad officiating in Columbus a few years ago that was a correct spot away from Michigan being in the College football playoff.  PJ  Fleck had a great day and having a great year though.

Minnesota finally wins their first game of consequence this season against an extremely overrated penn state team and this is the shit we have to look at? Maybe the bye week needs to be for take masters as well. We deserve a break too. 

before PSU today - who has Minn played? Michigan would be undefeated at this point with that schedule? They would also probably be a 1- Loss team if the PSU game has been at home instead of a white our night game. Fleck is a good coach. Harbaugh is a good coach.

Reading the board today - I just want to know what the hell Harbaugh did to fuck up his bye week. I must be missing something,

Fleck’s a good coach but his win today was the biggest he’s ever had.  It’s easy to get up for one big game.  If he beats Wisconsin and Iowa I’ll be impressed.  But seriously, on a neutral field, Michigan beats the Gophers by a couple of touchdowns (at least the way we’ve been playing).

Good for Minnesota, though.  I can’t remember when they’ve even been close to a Rose Bowl possibility.
