Fitting Comparison to OSU
I thought some of you would enjoy this:

"Wal-Mart estimates that about 700,000 of its 1.4 million American employees lack a college degree.Sara Martinez Tucker, a former under secretary of education who is now on Wal-Mart's external advisory council, suggests 10 or 15 percent of Wal-Mart associates could sign up.
"That's 140,000 college degrees," she told The Chronicle. "Imagine three Ohio State Universities' worth of graduates, which is huge in American higher education."
HAAAAAA
If you put the brain power of three full classes from OSU together, you'd equal the brain power of about 1/10th of Walmart employees?
Yeah... about right.
Would OSU Credits even transfer to Wal-Mart U? I really hope that WMU (not that WMU) doesn't go by Wolverines for their sports teams. I hear that shit too much already.
To the WalMart truck driving school...
Searching....Searching....Searching....Oh, I get it - they are saying that OSU has 46.67 thousand students. Is that not correct or something?
So half of Wal-Mart's American employees have a college degree? There is no way the number is that high.
that Goth-Flameout Two Ton Julie did get her associates in criminal justice from The University of Phoenix when her parents agreed to pay so she could make one last stab at NOT being a total failure.
Hey, man, could be worse ...
I am getting my master's degree in accounting from The University of Phoenix. Now I know that my degree will be worth nothing. I will know go bang my head against the wall until I pass out. However, my parents are not paying.
It might be in this economy.
So half(!) of all Walmart employees have some sort of college degree? Does that seem shockingly high to anyone else?
[Edit: Wichita beat me to it.]
The other half are probably lacking their high school diplomas
OSU?
But not WalMart college...
Their hoops are at the Value City Arena...
How about the WalMart Horseshoe?
A lot of young Marines I work with take classes through AMU/APU. Generally speaking, if you give them money, they give you a degree. It's a total scam.
The value of education is so diluted today. Online schools are a great idea for full-time working adults, and it's commendable that they take the time to earn a degree. Unfortunately, the classes are so dumbed-down that the degree isn't worth the 30K spent to obtain it.
Only half of OSU students end up with a college degree too.
Only half end up with a piece of paper CLAIMING to be a college degree.
I've yet to see a single one that actually participated in some form of higher education.
wind up working at Wal-Mart.
Are still unqualified to be WalMart employees.
I love how in the quotation she doesn't directly associate OSU with Wal-Mart, but the connection is there for all see.
If she knows Wal-Mart and OSU, her name is Sara Martinez Trucker. This is an obvious misprint.
as a University of Pheonix student paying for my criminal justice degree by working at Wal-Mart I am very offended by this thread
Don't pay much attention to this. Seems like the comments are more of a knock on o$u than Wal Mart.
Hopefully you get a nice discount on tuition at U of Phoenix since you work at Wal Mart. I work for Devry University and Wal Mart associates get a 30% discount on tuition here.
sorry, I was being sarcastic. Didn't come through I guess
