...a schools certification. To give your son the best opportunity at getting into U of M if he decides to attend a CC or another school make sure the schools certification is Regionally Accredited through the North Central Association. This will make it more likely that the schools can share transfer credit but of course, nothing is guaranteed. |

Don't pay much attention to this. Seems like the comments are more of a knock on o$u than Wal Mart. Hopefully you get a nice discount on tuition at U of Phoenix since you work at Wal Mart. I work for Devry University and Wal Mart associates get a 30% discount on tuition here. |

Since most of these "sales" organizations have pre-scripted presentations designed specifically to overcome your objections you need to be especially firm from the beginning. Let them know that you are supportive of thier efforts but it just isn't for you. These groups, especially Amway and their offshoots, really pit their recruits against anyone outside of their group that they would label a "dream stealer" or something similar. So my best advice is to be supportive and don't bash or joke about what your friend or coworker is getting into. Unfortunately, they will find out soon enough. |

Used to sling drinks there after college. Check out the rental houses online and get on it now if you want something for July. Take plenty of beer over with you. You can take a car over to the island on the Miller Ferry for about $20 one-way. DO NOT DRIVE ANYTHING IF YOU'VE BEEN DRINKING. The cops on the island will give DUI's out on a moments notice - car, golf cart, scooter, bike...doesn't matter. If you get arrested you're in for some trouble getting back to the mainland w/ your buddies. Overall its a cool experience but plan on spending some cash in the bars. Food is a little pricey too. If you end up going, do not miss Mad Dog at the Round House during the day on the weekends. Great time. I'll be up there w/ a huge BP myself in the middle of July. |

Nothing like a Ten D reference to start out a Friday! Thanks!!! |

Not a Bronco's fan but my buddy just got added to their staff as a def. assistant. First text I sent him said, "Draft B. Graham...will not be disapointed." |

No problem Magnus...Love the name by the way...but I still think pulling info from any sparty-linked site (especially recruiting info) is a tough sell. |
8 years 8 weeks ago | Don't believe the hype.... |
Its probably not a great idea to get unbiased recruiting information from a sparty site. Go back and find what Kevin and his family had to say about his day at U of M. |

I live in Columbus and have traversed the last couple of big games down here. I could go through some of the negative points but they aren't really worth mentioning. Point is, we have a large tail gate right by the OSU Medical Center (just south-west of the shoe). It is great because has extremely easy access to parking, one of the relatively "nicest" walks to the stadium on that game day, and spitting distance from 315 to get the heck out of dodge if need be. I am a huge U of M fan, but most of my pals down here are o$u supporters. No one really messes with me and the other M fans that hang with us. It would still be a plus to hang with a guy like Amadou Ba on that day! |

Another thing to detract my attention away from actual responsibilitites! And now I will retire to the nerdery and play with my calculator until this actually is released. |

is a lot like George W. Powerful daddy in his chosen profession, legacy of screw-ball tactics and border-line failure at previous stops, and somehow falls into these positions of power. |
8 years 13 weeks ago | You are right |
OSU's summer quarter ends the week before the game but I'm not sure when the fall quarter starts. Their AD pointed out that one of the main reasons for the move was giving the fans a full Labor Day weekend w/o a game on Saturday. |

Living in Columbus I can't stand the 3 pro teams here in ohio...my grandfather was a huge Boy's fan coming from Little Rock, AR. Hope they don't blow it in the playoffs! |

Sounds like there's A LOT more to this USC crap then what we're hearing. |

It could have to do with the fact that Pepsi just isn't that good and Coke has been taking market share left and right. Sorry to any Pepsi drinkers out there. |

...he doesn't have another accident like the one at the shoe a couple of years back. |

I had a little Norm McDonald flash-back after I read your post Starko. Nicely done! |
8 years 17 weeks ago | ...putting the cart before.... |
Its still early guys and we're talking about the same USC that pulled two 5 star recruits right out from under U of M in the past couple of years. That being said, IF RR was able to pull this off all the haters would have to give him the credit he deserves. Head-to-head battles with USC and some of the big boys for Parker and Ash. Pretty impressive. |
8 years 17 weeks ago | Horrible end... |
This is obviously bad news for anyone who follows the NFL and my heart goes out to his family, friends, and teammates. The events of the accident that caused his fatal injuries is just wierd. I will be very interested in how all this plays out. I've heard that Charlotte police already have homicide detectives investigating the accident. |
8 years 17 weeks ago | Unfortunate |
I hear the "If he doesn't want to be here then go..." arguments but unfortunately with the current state of the program we are in no position to show talented players the door. If nothing else, Smith is a beast on Special Teams and the team will miss him in some area this upcoming season if he does leave. I would be shocked if Boo Boo is back. Maybe a little Adrian Arrington treatment would get his head back on straight. |

I'm listening to 105.3 The Fan from Dallas and they are reporting that a Bengals' rep has confirmed that Henry has passed away. |
8 years 18 weeks ago | Damn Shame... |
I just read that too...what a great talent. Made a bunch of bad choices. Sorry to hear. http://www.google.com/search?q=chris+henry&hl=en&client=firefox-a&rls=or... |

At least Cincy fans didn't threaten his family. I'm pretty die-hard but these fans need to get a life...tell 'em RR! |

Roy takes his team to c-bus...his feelings may really get hurt! |
8 years 18 weeks ago | Another option... |
I'd love to see the Big Ten somehow steal Boston College from the Big East. They meet all the requirements (football, bball, academics...) and they'd bring wicked sweet accents into the conf. |
8 years 18 weeks ago | Think about it this way... |
Jimmy moves into Big 12 North territory where his only real competition for the Big 12 Championship game is Nebraska (and every once in a while Missouri). He gets away from USC, Oregon, Kelly's ND, and an Arizona program that is coming on BUT he still has his recruiting ties to CA. His ego is large enough to believe that he can make Kansas into a power rivaling their bball program. |
8 years 18 weeks ago | Tenuta |
I do seem to remember some U of M fans foaming at the mouth when it was rumored that Tenuta would be joining the staff in AA IF Miles was the guy. |
8 years 18 weeks ago | Another side to this.... |
This exact circumstance is another reason why the BCS sucks. Do you think for one second that BK up and leaves UC if they are preparing for a matchup with Florida in an NCAA FB playoff? The same could be said for RR and his WVU team after losing to Pitt. If these premier teams (or teams like WVU, UC, TCU that have amazing seasons) had something else to play for besides the pomp, circumstance, and dare I say it "tradition" of meaningless BCS games like a CHANCE to play for a National Championship I would think coaches would think twice about jumping ship. |
