Favorite College Football Uniforms
Nothing I hate more than Sunday evenings, even on a beautiful night like this. Boring as hell getting mentally ready for the week ahead. Anyway, to kill some type, I thought I'd ask this question:
What are your favorite college football uniform sets (other than Michigan:)
Florida State for me.
The helmets with the stickers are awesome. The colors, and several possible uniform combos (Maroon, Black, Gold and White), make it for me. I also like the seminole logo on the pants.
They have the sickest uniforms in college football other than Michigan.
Texas, Nebraska, OSU, LSU, and Alabama. I was also intrigued by Oregon State's (they looked awesome back in the 08 season when they upset USC, that angry swarm of red-orange midgets)
I like USC and UCLA jerseys
They've been said, PSU, Nebraska, I like the old school jerseys, like the Chicago Bears, the Packers, and the Colts.
That said, I'm really excited about more color-on-color games. Before being accused of being a racist, I mean U of M vs. MSU Blue vs. Green, or the Blue vs. Red when we play OSU. I think the USC/UCLA game looked great, and in general I think team's home unis are better than their road whites. It wont work for some games (us vs. PSU, or purdue, or Illinois) but I think it'll look great going forward.
Arizona State has a good look to me, I like the yellow and maroon with the sun devil logos.
Gotta love Sparky! I attended ASU and saw Jake Plummer and Co. make a run to the Rose Bowl my freshman year and that was followed by Michigan doing the same the next year to claim the national title. Two best football season of my life.
Oklahoma is alright. Simple and unique with their burnt-red or blood-red or whatever color it is exactly.
It's crimson. They and Texas pretty much have the exact same uniforms, just with different logos and colors.
Mine are:
5. Alabama
4. Ohio State
3. Penn State
2. LSU (alternate)
1. Michigan
University of Delaware
EDIT: I see that I was beaten to the punch above.
Air Force Academy. Gotta love the lightning bolts. I'm a bit biased though since I went to school there.
I've always like West Virginia's. I also like the WV logo on the helmets. Penn State's (both sets actually), USC's, and UF's, and Nebraska.
No. We don't have wings because Princeton had them. We have wings because of Crisler, who so happened to introduce them at both schools.
Crisler introduced them at Princeton, and subsequently brought them to Michigan when he came to UofM. But yes, Princeton did have them before we did.
I like Clemson's and FSU's. Penn State's are good because they're simple.
Penn State being my favorite, I also like Michigan, Texas, Notre Dame, and Florida State. Also, Nike's Pro Combat Unis are pretty awesome. LSU, Texas, Oklahoma, OSU, Clemson, TCU, Va Tech, Miami, and FSU all have them and they all look cool.
The Missouri Pro Combat uniforms against Kansas last year and the camouflage Army uniforms when they played Navy.
I loved them.
Loved the Army ones, they should wear those every week...
UCLA home and Iowa home. The Hawkeye logo is awesome.
1. Michigan
2. Penn State
3. Texas
4. Nebraska
5. Adrian College
I'm a bit biased but I was thinking Adrian College should get some recognition as well.
1. Michigan
2.Penn State
3.San Diego State
4.Duke
5.North Carolina
UNC, definitely... I didn't see it mentioned in any other comments. Like that powder blue...
When Oregon State made it to a BCS game, I liked the jerseys they had. I also liked how they destroyed Notre Dame in the game.
I'm a fan of a couple of the new jerseys that came out this year. The Nike Pro comba =t jerseys: TCU and Mizzouri's were the best
TCU Mizzou
Ew, Florida? I cannot stand that ugly-ass script on their helmets. It looks like something the 70s shat out and nobody ever bothered to clean up.
I like some of the smaller school uniforms - like Slippery Rock's with "THE ROCK" emblazoned on the front above the number - but their rival California University of Pennsylvania's is even better - especially their road jersey with "VULCANS" in bigger letters than their home jersey.
With apologies to my PSU alumnus father - I hate the all white bland boring unis of Penn State. If they would put the nitany lion logo on the helmet it would help.
Dislike: Tennessee, Florida, Illinois (orange is awful and mixed with blue is just wrong)
Like: Northwestern, Eastern Carolina, Cal, WV, USF, Oregon, Washington (purple almost always looks good)
1. Nebraska
2. Michigan
3. Penn State
4. Notre Dame
5. Alabama
Alabama. They are simple uniforms with classic trim to them. Numbers on the helmet classic style and the white stripe down the helmet.
1. Michigan
2. Penn State
3. Notre Dame
4. Alabama
5. Nebraska

mizzou procombat
georgia back about 15 yrs ago when they had black pants with white jersey and red bucket
colorado all-black with the gold buckey (im thinking from the year they scored 60+ on Nebraska
The all-white that Washington wore vs. nd this yr
NC's uni's from the late 90's (liked the bold stripes and letters)
no like -
VT procombat were meh
Florida (maybe just b/c I loathe them in general)
oklahoma
osu/nd - refuse to like anything about them
There are some days where I like Clemson's jerseys.. but other days the orange makes me want to slap myself.
Some favs...
Washington (Especially the new)
Oregon State
Pittsburgh
FSU
Kentucky
Kansas State
i never understand all the love that florida state's unis get from people. they're just like boston college's but with some weird ugly trim on the collar and sleeves. no thanks.
and some people besides oregon fans actually like oregon's unis? wtf? the true downside to oregon's jersey situation is that if they ever decided to end the horrible experiment with nike, their throwbacks aren't too pretty either. back to the drawing board, oregon.
personally, i agree with anybody that has said michigan, penn state, notre dame, alabama, texas, or ucla.
Penn State for sure. I also think Bama is cool.
any all whites look like diapers or pajamas
for some reason, i have always like Arizona State's uniforms. the colors seem to suit the school really well, and the little devil with the pitchfork is pretty tough.
Ole Miss also, i think its the shoulder stripes or something that reinforces the military aspect of their mascot.
I kind of liked the uni's TCU wore in the bowl game vs. Boise last season. Almost color changing in different lighting.
I like the FSU setup with all black pants and jerseys with the black helmet.
