The grand ol Dukes and York, each had 1000 yards... |
| 1 year 28 weeks ago | No it was my fault... |
I wasn't wearing my lucky maize and blue boxers. I feel terrible. |
| 1 year 30 weeks ago | i wonder if he is pre-med |
Then he should definitely change his name to Jeckyll when he transfers. |
| 1 year 31 weeks ago | thought the same thing |
I thought the same thing about the spot of the ball. Then when I saw Denard under center. I shook my head and said to my son, "nothing good can come from Denard being under center." |
| 1 year 31 weeks ago | agreed |
If Rich Rod were still our coach we'd be 7 - 0 right now. |
| 1 year 31 weeks ago | Michigan wins |
I don't believe MSU will keep Michigan to fewer than our lowest score (28 vs SDSU). The offense is too good to be shut down completely and our defense can score points. I think the MSU offensive line will keep little brother from scoring touchowns until the game is out of reach. Michigan 34 MSU 16 |

Must say "tremendous" to verify coaching lineage as an authentic Michigan man. |
| 1 year 37 weeks ago | when i saw it |
I thought to myself - I'm glad he was never hired at Michigan. I worked at CMU when Kelly was there. When Lloyd retired and Kelly's name came up on blogs for consideration it seemed like I was one of the few who disapproved. Add this out of control abuse to his players as further evidence that he should not be coaching anywhere. Intensity is fine, dissatisfaction with player performance sure, wanting to correct and teach an expectation - but to belittle, cuss out, verabally assault a player who makes a mistake - he went too far. |
| 1 year 38 weeks ago | Northside - meh |
I went to Northside because people raved about it - but found it to be nothing special. The epitome of "meh." Of course it's all very subjective and maybe I went on a bad day and didn't have the best thing on the menu. But I've never been disappointed at Angelo's or Afternoon Delight. |
| 1 year 38 weeks ago | ABC for beer Grizzly Peak for food |
I worked down the street from both and learned that I much prefer the beer at ABC (and I don't really like IPAs that much) but the food was rather meh. There must be something about the B's - my favorites are the Bavarian Bliss and the Brasserie Blonde. My wife really like's Grizzly Peak - and so i would go there for the food but felt the beer wasn't as good. |
| 1 year 38 weeks ago | GD still there |
Unless it closed in the last two years (we moved north) the Gandy Dancer is still there. It is my favorite of the nicer places in Ann Arbor. Even before we lived in Ann Arbor we would occasionally go there for special occasions and I think it has consistently maintained its excellent food and service over the years. |
| 1 year 38 weeks ago | Totoro - best Sushi I've had |
I thought Sadako was ok - but preferred Totoro (also closer to work). I really love the Yam Yam roll there. I haven't been to the other places. |
| 1 year 38 weeks ago | Seva favorite |
Seva has remained my favorite restaurant since I was a pre-teen 30 plus years ago. My sister was an undergrad and worked there at the time. My family was convinced that she introduced Birkenstocks to the rest of the staff. The fact that the place has remained in Ann Arbor so long (when other things come and go so frequently) is evidence that it must be doing something right. I've been to other outstanding vegetarian places (Evanston's Blind Faith Cafe) that might have more original vegetarian entrees - but I always know I'll have something fantastic at Seva. |
| 1 year 38 weeks ago | good thai |
I moved from Ann Arbor two years ago - the whole time there I struggled to find good Thai food. I agree with other comments on No Thai. There was a good but pricey place off Ann Arbor Saline Rd. - in the mall where Target is (Lotus Thai). But my favorite place was a remodeled Long John Silvers on Washtenaw east of 23 called Tuptim. I went there in May while passing through town and what I had was very good. |
| 2 years 9 weeks ago | Duck Fuke (and the refs) |
I think it was in the first half when the really obnoxious player for Puke (Sphincter or something like that) dropped the f-bomb on camera. I thought - oh yeah - now that just proves how much more classy they are than Michigan. The CBS announcers, the refs, all in for Duke - because they are so blessed saintly - makes me sick. Imagine - just one of those gawd awful calls or no calls goes the other way and Michigan keps dancing. |
| 2 years 15 weeks ago | Fred Jackson on snowmageddon |
I wonder how Fred would describe the blizzard. |
| 2 years 16 weeks ago | clearly overated |
Clearly this Hokemania is overated. It's been more than 24 hrs without a welcome announcement for a new commitment. This new coaching staff is full of a bunch of slackers. Sarcasm - ever heard of it? |
| 2 years 16 weeks ago | that's a low blow... |
With friends like us, who needs enemas? |
| 2 years 17 weeks ago | Here we go! |
Thanks - that's what I'm talking about! |
| 2 years 17 weeks ago | Great point |
I've been saying this too - so right about espn highlights missing this. It is nice that they now have a center to carry on that great tradition that had been missing since Hartings retired. I hope Pouncey can play in 2 weeks. I haven't heard anything about his injury. |
| 2 years 17 weeks ago | Woodley, Foote, Mundy |
The only thing I like better than the Steelers is Michigan. So as much as I like Woodson I want the Steelers to win and if they come out like tonight in the first half - all business - the they will win. |
| 2 years 17 weeks ago | i remember this... |
I moved from Mt. Pleasant to Ann Arbor in July 2006. I remember running into Herb on the concourse outside Michigan Stadium I don't think it was a game so it must have been a fan day event. I don't know him all that well - but everyone knows everyone in Mt. Pleasant. I asked him what he was doing there (he had a polo shirt with a Michigan logo). He told me that Lloyd had asked him if he wanted to help out. I think he had family in Ann Arbor too so it was a good fit after retiring as AD at CMU. |
| 2 years 17 weeks ago | Rather |
Woodley, Foote, Mundy win it all! |
| 2 years 17 weeks ago | Mundy |
I'm not sure Ryan Mundy keeps a spot on an NFL team (let alone one a game away from the superbowl) if it wasn't for a year with Barwis at WV. Seems like I read something somewhere awhile back about the very real difference in S&C programs related to this one player's development. |
| 2 years 18 weeks ago | a good foundation for starters |
Then plenty of strong floor joists, good solid sub floor and floor boards, probably not really important for support - but the little pucks under the feet are nice if it's on carpet. But why isn't this OT? I mean why should we care about supporting couches? Oh - sorry, what does it mean to be a "Coach Supporter" - not sure but I'm guessing something similar to an athletic supporter. Here's the ultimate way to support "the boys." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yV831oPwG8M&feature=player_embedded#! |
| 2 years 18 weeks ago | Wrong on at least two counts |
1. 1000 times it's not Hoke's fault. I think it was one of the first things Brian said. Hoke is not being undermined. |
| 2 years 18 weeks ago | being skeptical can be |
part of being realistic. I think many would agree that you can be a fan, skeptical about our chances of success and not be hypocritical. |

The more I think about it this is the lamest hiring possible. |
