Evening Games Open Thread
I'm not going to lie, I started this thread merely because I want to talk about the hilarity of the fact that we're about to watch Rutgers play their first B1G game.
Biggest night for Rutgers football since they won their last National Championship... In 1869?

Barring a total collapse by BC, the Sark bandwagon is going to be a bit lighter this week. heh

I didn't notice that Penn State has bye weeks before playing us and before playing OSU this year. Reminds me of the 90's when PSU had that scheduling benefit for 4 years in a row because JoePa specifically asked for it and the Big Ten said, "yes."

It's the algorithm! No human can control it! We will be assimilated!

...because his answers at press conferences are going to start to sound like this before long:

Did UCLA darken their blue color ? The old Rose bowls I used to think they were more powder blue ala San Diego Chargers circa 1987.

...and I'll watch anything, but these have been some pretty awful weeks.
I just checked next week and it sucks too. So does the week after.
However, in 3 weeks, we finally get some ranked vs. ranked matchups again.
I suppose Gameday will be @FSU when Clemson visits, but that's really the only game, and I don't even see that being THAT much of a game. The following week I'm guessing Arkansas @ TAMU or Oregon State @ USC. Both unranked vs. ranked.
Week 6 though...week 6!
Bama @ Ole Miss
LSU @ Auburn
Arizona St. @ USC
Stanford @ ND

OSU is at Maryland if you're looking for an upset pick...Nebraska is at MSU that week 6.
For as bad as the 3 week period of this week and the next 2 weeks will be...the following 3 weeks will be just as good. Weeks 6, 7 and 8 are LOADED!
September 13th, 2014 at 11:06 PM ^
Ahem ... and UM @ Rutgers.
September 13th, 2014 at 11:08 PM ^
...completely forgot. Well, I know where Gameday will be that week!

Rutgers' offense seems to have lost its momentum.

BC out rushing USC 342 - 4. Young Olines kinda suck

tied at 20, 4 to play
UK hasn't beat Florida in a long long time.

The natives have to be getting restless in Gainsville after last year.
September 13th, 2014 at 11:11 PM ^
Especially since Muschamp isn't "one of them."
September 13th, 2014 at 11:02 PM ^
Another good game tonight..
September 13th, 2014 at 11:06 PM ^
Nova is basically white Devin Gardner. Makes some big plays, makes some doofus plays.
September 13th, 2014 at 11:06 PM ^
September 13th, 2014 at 11:08 PM ^
If Kentucky beats Florida do they fire Muschamp on the spot?
September 13th, 2014 at 11:08 PM ^
After seeing what Devin went through last year I do feel sorry for Hackenberg. Their OL is horrendous.

Avant's hands.
September 13th, 2014 at 11:09 PM ^
They had a potential game winning throw go right through the hands of the WR and he tipped it and UF picks it off and they're driving for the game winning FG.
It was right there for the Cats.
September 13th, 2014 at 11:11 PM ^
UF going for 50 yardish FG to avoid OT
September 13th, 2014 at 11:12 PM ^
Auburn style!
September 13th, 2014 at 11:13 PM ^
they had 2 guys back! Went too far.
If we see another play like that again in my life I will feel blessed :)
September 13th, 2014 at 11:18 PM ^
I was driving back home after the Michigan/OSU game...I had it on my DVR, but it wasn't the same because the stupid ESPN alert on my phone spoiled it.
September 13th, 2014 at 11:12 PM ^
Arent we rooting for UK so that Harris goes there instead of OSU?

James Franklin made a really dumb call on that QB pooch punt. Pulled that right out of Carr's playbook.

Texas recovers...up 17-13 with 4 minutes to go. Gus Johnson just lost his mind.
September 13th, 2014 at 11:15 PM ^
NIce 4 yrd pooch punt by hackenburg from the Rutgers 36. Dumb.
September 13th, 2014 at 11:15 PM ^
Holy crap, what's up with the whistling at Fresno vs Nebraska?? Almost as bad as vuvuzalas.
September 13th, 2014 at 11:17 PM ^
why some coaches have their QBs do pooch punts. I don't...get it. I never understood it when RR was here. Your QB already does so much. That's what punters are for.
September 13th, 2014 at 11:17 PM ^
Carr did that all the time, too.
September 13th, 2014 at 11:16 PM ^
Have to be impressed with Texas. They had OL with a combined 5 starts going into last week (10 this week) and playing UCLA blow for blow.
Charlie strong stock up, Jim Mora Jr stock down. UCLA has not looked good the first 2 games either.
September 13th, 2014 at 11:18 PM ^
September 13th, 2014 at 11:18 PM ^
UCLA with big punt return to change field position huge.
September 13th, 2014 at 11:18 PM ^
UCLA scores on 1st play after huge punt return. Boom.
September 13th, 2014 at 11:18 PM ^
Florida's 29 game win streak over Kentucky is the longest in the nation in an uninterrupted series.
Kentucky just took the 27-20 lead on Florida in OT.
September 13th, 2014 at 11:19 PM ^
Just went crazy in the last minute.
September 13th, 2014 at 11:19 PM ^
Musburger just called a play and as the Kentucky RB crossed the goal line he let out a loud "BOOM GOES THE DYNAMITE". The old man is cray.
