Evening Games Open Thread

Submitted by Bando Calrissian on

I'm not going to lie, I started this thread merely because I want to talk about the hilarity of the fact that we're about to watch Rutgers play their first B1G game.

Biggest night for Rutgers football since they won their last National Championship... In 1869?

I didn't notice that Penn State has bye weeks before playing us and before playing OSU this year.  Reminds me of the 90's when PSU had that scheduling benefit for 4 years in a row because JoePa specifically asked for it and the Big Ten said, "yes."

...and I'll watch anything, but these have been some pretty awful weeks.

I just checked next week and it sucks too. So does the week after.

However, in 3 weeks, we finally get some ranked vs. ranked matchups again.

I suppose Gameday will be @FSU when Clemson visits, but that's really the only game, and I don't even see that being THAT much of a game. The following week I'm guessing Arkansas @ TAMU or Oregon State @ USC. Both unranked vs. ranked.

Week 6 though...week 6!

Bama @ Ole Miss
LSU @ Auburn
Arizona St. @ USC
Stanford @ ND

They had a potential game winning throw go right through the hands of the WR and he tipped it and UF picks it off and they're driving for the game winning FG.

It was right there for the Cats.

Have to be impressed with Texas.  They had OL with a combined 5 starts going into last week (10 this week) and playing UCLA blow for blow.

Charlie strong stock up, Jim Mora Jr stock down.  UCLA has not looked good the first 2 games either.

Florida's 29 game win streak over Kentucky is the longest in the nation in an uninterrupted series.

Kentucky just took the 27-20 lead on Florida in OT.
