ESPN "My Wish" w/ Michigan and Coach Hoke (embed)
Edit #3: I didn't see the existing thread...Mods, can still delete.
Was nice to watch on TV, I'm assuming they'll show during the 11pm SportsCenter and probably the SportsCenter's in the morning.
Scroll down for the embed, wasn't working in te OP. Sorry for "autoplay," but it is worth it if you haven't seen it.
GO BLUE!
It is online and pretty awesome. Really cool that the whole team ran out to touch the banner.
I believe we will come to admire their accomplishments on the field.
But I already like them as young men, which is even more important.
I agree with you. And a team with the kind of character displayed by Devin and the rest of the team is likely to find success in their joint endeavor. I watched that not only wanting them to succeed even more than before, but believing that those young men are doing to do it.
I posted the link in the other thread.
I think it was awesome for the University to do this. It was also great to see the team so enthusiastic and behind the young man.
I was kind of oh hum on the season fast approaching (maybe more apprehensive) but BRING IT ON!!! Can't wait.
...my wife to cancer to cancer 4 years ago... I cried during the whole thing.
Michigan = character.
wow
just wow
tearjerker
Some things you cannot put a price on. What an honor and a privilege it is to be called a #Michigan Man. #MyWish #GoBlue 〽️

This is a great day to be a Michigan Wolverine!!
This is amazing...
Grilling a beautiful steak and it's probably a little well done, but it'll all go down the same, I wasn't stepping foot outside or even pausing the TV. That was well worth it.
The moment he saw Jake Long was just awesome.
Goosebumps man.
Good luck to Stephen and I hope he can beat cancer for good.
Three side notes:
I'm forever glad we have a fanbase like we do...national
I want one of those We Bleed Blue shirts
I want to be in Ann Arbor tailgating NOW. I've been getting the itch here lately after a long 7 months of negativity, but this is what I really needed to get the football fever!
Devin Funchess, Jake Ryan and Dennis Norfleet...man it was so cool seeing the smiles and even their faces. Everyone having such a good time and just being part of an amazing experience.
Also loved how many former players are involved...the Michigan family is something special. To be able to get Jake Long to go to the kids house, for Henne and Denard to share their time, Desmond, everyone...that's just so cool.
Hats off to everyone involved, all of those My Wish shorts are amazing, but when you see it for your team that you love so much, it make it that much more special.
The day Jake Long walked into his house was the day cancer went to the rearview mirror...that right there put everything into perspective.
I wonder how big Steven would have gotten had he not had cancer, we might have had a hello post about him, we'll never know.
The team looked great and anxious to prove some things this season.
Go Blue Forever!!!
Wolverine Devotee was all over that months ago...
It is what it is.
The M is way better.
Oh wow. I don't get misty-eyed a lot, but I did here - this was an incredible piece and it makes this alum very proud of the team and the fanbase that we have.
The moment where he started to suit up is when I got rather choked up, and to have his father there watching him do something he had dreamed of doing...no words. Just "wow".
Thanks for posting this.
Some dust in my office.
Lots and lots of onions...
did for this young man.
It seems like the team was really moved by this too. Hopefully the team pulls together to have a great year for Stephen.
Thanks for posting!
Not many in Missouri, assume they/he moved there?
Thanks for all the tweets but you all don't have to thank me for being a good guy or doing something for others, that is expected...

...I've been given a platform that'll allow me to help change lives and I intend to use this platform every chance I get so thank you!

those tweets from Devin. (I'm in the 'twitterverse' but really seldom spend much time lurking/looking and practically never post there, so I never would have seen those tweets)
The more I see, read, and hear from and about Devin Gardner, the more I'm impressed with the young man---a true gentleman and scholar, and the quintessential MichiganMan. Those tweets of his you posted just reinforce my opinion of him, and I'd love nothing more than to see him have a great senior season!
Back to the"My Wish" segment on ESPN---I watched and recorded it at 6, definitely going to watch it again and again and NOT delete it. A beautiful, wonderful story, and Stephen Loszewski is amaizing in that he has such a great attitude in the face of adversity. I'm not one to cry while watching things like this on TV but definitely felt a lump in the throat while watching it earlier.
I wonder if he'll be introduced at a game this fall---i'd love to see it, and that just might be one of those moments that the tears do flow a little. ..from like 100,000+ of us in unison at Michigan Stadium.
you know...I'm Greek and we have an old Greek saying...the fish rots from the head down....well watching this tells me our Head (i.e. Coach Hoke) has made our fish the tastiest and juicest fish on this planet!!! As I've been saying, there is no way Coach Hoke is gonna not do it...look at the Players he recruits, just awesome men...MICHIGAN MEN....11-1....watch and learn....this was worth 70 trips to the Navy seals .....GO BLUE....BTW, I'm still crying.....
and our beloved university of michigan. i just let most of the kids watch that and they loved it, as of course did i. great story.
Blue tee-shirt
On front maize Michigan
Back of shirt have in maize the number 57 and Loszewski - similar to the jersey he was wearing
Proceeds from the sales go to cancer research
Would allow us to raise money to fight cancer (because cancer sucks) and would also continue the experience for the kid to see thousands of people "wearing his jersey"
