Adam Rittenberg for the save: "Rich and his staff are extremely demanding of their linemen" I hate fat guys.

I've basically stopped reading ESPN's bloggers. I've sent multiple emails to Rittenberg correcting him on players who are starting, etc, etc.

there is not a lot of info for ESPN CF Live to report on a lazy summer day like this one. I'd rather they lead with a story on Wermers (any relation to Dean Wermer?) than that lineman who was caught choking his chicken on the patio of a coed student a few years ago.

I just watched the repeat of it and I had to laugh at their collection of videos of RR and Carr. They kept going from clips of RR yelling on the side lines to clips of Carr standing calmly on the sidelines. They didn't say it but it seemed to be implied that RR always yells and Carr never did.

I don't think that they are necessarily off base there. RichRod was a lot more openly critical of his players during the games. He regularly yelled at Steven Threet for making execution mistakes. During the Michigan State game, it seemed like he was screaming at somebody every time that the offense came off the field. Carr yelled at guys for committing dumb personal fouls and he yelled at the refs a lot, but other than that, he was much quieter (on TV at least). I think that this is part of the "culture shock" that contributed to the 3-9 season.

The constant yelling by RR may also have been because of the amount of mistakes our offense was making last year, I'm sure Carr would have been yelling at players over some of the mistakes they made. And Carr was no saint on the sidelines, I recall him yelling several times, at both players and refs. Seemed to me RR's yelling was also cast as being negative, and yet many fans loved Ron English for his fiery attitude on the sidelines.

is just making up for lost time. when you think about it for 40 years (bo to LC) michigan has never been in the spot light this much for players leaving and talking shit on their way out the door. so espn is just digging in their claws when they can. before this when would michigan get bashed on espn??? pretty much after every bad loss and that was it. players left every year before richrod got here but for some reason it has gotten completely out of hand now and every time there is a hint of a player leaving its front page news.

It's not because these players were from Michigan. What other team has had so many players leave in such a dramatic fashion? I don't really blame RR or anyone else at UM, but there have been a ton of defections in the past year. Seriously, Justin Boren went to Ohio State and trashed Rich Rod on the way out. Every college football writer in the country creamed him or herself when they heard that. I don't think you can really chalk this up to anti-Michigan bias. These are just big stories at a time when there is not much to report. After a couple of years, when all UM players were recruited by Rodriguez, things like this won't happen anymore. And ESPN won't seem so biased.

It's over. I probably hit ESPN.com like 5 times a day, and never read a story. It's like muscle memory. Yahoo Sports is so much better, but it is ugly, and well, Yahoo.

CFL is going to be on at 5:30 on ESPN 2 if you missed it like I did. I can relate to working your butt off and not playing though, as I have had first hand experience. I have gone through similar stuff with high school basketball lately. It makes you want to quit, but those who stay will be champions.
