Enemy Spring Game Highlights

Submitted by Thorin on

Edit: Added ND's Blue-Gold Game and BTN highlights from other assorted teams that we hate. MGoVideo will probably have torrents of OSU, MSU, PSU. So far, there's a TYT release of the Wisconsin spring game:

I wonder what the redneck rocker would say about the pink numbers.

Well I should point out that IF the offense (be it under Robinson or Forcier) can explode in that game, we can certainly beat them. I just don't see that happening in Columbus

When you have over a million people in the metro area, 65,000 in attendance is not a lot. If TUOOS had a 250,000 seat stadium they would be able to sell out most home Big Ten games. I order my employee tickets just to sell them each year. I usually make enough from one or two games to pay for the pair for the season. People are despirate for TUOOS tickets in Columbus. Columbus has nothing: no pro football, baseball or anything else other than a piss-poor hockey franchise. TUOOS sports is all there is...

are they down in OSU- they let their defense tackle/sack their Quarterbacks in F***ing Spring Ball!!!! One can only hope #2 in scarlet and gray takes on of those hits just in the right spot...

They look really slow, definitely a spread offense with pro-style players. Long year ahead for the Irish, although those games against the service academies should help out a little.

Yeah, but that defense isn't exactly lights-out, either. The tackling was pretty atrocious, and I don't think they'll fare too well trying to take down Denard in the open field. I could see the grounds crew growing that Kentucky Bluegrass out like a damn jungle to try and slow down our speed.

there should be no way UM could lose the following games
ND has no defense, hopefully it will stay that way, a new qb in a non-traditional system;
ILL - no qb, disorganized with new coordinators;
purdue - no qb, no RB;
PSu - no QB, still shifting OL, ok defense and RB but that is it

No one really looked too outstanding, although it is just spring ball. I think the Big Ten could be a relatively wide open race this year, with OSU seeming to be the obvious favorite. PSU is going to have to recover from the straight-up beat down it's going to get from the Tide early on, for a young team that might be kind of tough to do. Other than that, Notre Dame seems like they're running in a field of syrup compared to the other teams; I thought MSU looked especially fast and spry.

I think we can take the Irish, win a shootout with MSU, and I would feel good-ish about PSU if it wasn't in Happy Valley.

Rich Rod will have this team ready for every single game. New athletic director, mad fan base and an ego bigger then most coaches. He has to win he knows this, his staff knows this. Another poor season and his future at Michigan is probably over. His future as a coach in a BCS conference will probably be over. As big of a year this is for Michigan this is the year is even bigger for the coach.

A. Sparty's offense looks pretty nasty; Very shifty. At the same time, their tackling is hilarious.

B. Notre Dame looks like they're trying to play two handed touch with those attempts at tackling.

C. This is Spring ball so it means nothing.
