Durkin praise for Peppers QBing defense !
NO... Peppers is not moving to QB (although If they need him there Durkin said he would loan him to offense if it was best for the TEAM) But he IS QBing the defence!
It's hard to label (anyone as most consistent), but he was a consistent performer for us,"
He's vocal, but he leads by example because he brings it every day."
he's also shown the ability to call out coverages and sets on every snap, almost without exception. This is a skill Michigan's sorely lacked in recent years

(EDIT) Title. Sorry did not mean to be misleading.

I probably wouldn't have clicked on this thread if you hadn't hinted that he was playing QB on offense. It would be nice to see a more accurate thread title.

Page views. bluecrush is getting rich from this shit.
April 15th, 2015 at 12:18 PM ^
But I'm just at work, so I click on basically everything.
Now that I've said that, this thread sucks...
April 15th, 2015 at 12:20 PM ^
But the general response to people who complain about dumb topics being started on MGoBoard is, "YOU DIDN'T HAVE TO CLICK ON IT." Which I agree with.
It follows, though, that titling a super dumb topic with a misleading/semi-interesting subject is indisputably annoying (again, mildly so. This is the MGoBoard, not a United Nations Security Council vote).
April 15th, 2015 at 12:33 PM ^
Maybe?
;)
April 15th, 2015 at 12:49 PM ^
Yes to no.
April 15th, 2015 at 12:11 PM ^
"Yeah, well you didn't need to click on the thread when the topic obviously didn't interest you."
Wordplay and misdirection in a subject is always downvote worthy, particularly when the topic turns on a banality.
April 15th, 2015 at 12:12 PM ^
Just for future reference? What is wrong with the topic or title to cause downvote?
April 15th, 2015 at 12:14 PM ^
Misleading title causing clickers to sweat whilst waiting for the thread to load.
April 15th, 2015 at 12:14 PM ^
Peppers is not, and will not, play QB. Seems a few people felt mislead. Perhaps something like, "Secretary of State Peppers" would be better.
April 15th, 2015 at 12:28 PM ^
SecDef
be more appropriate?
April 15th, 2015 at 12:51 PM ^
Or we could go with Secretary of Homeland Safety.
"Three And Punt" scenarios.
April 15th, 2015 at 12:16 PM ^
There is a large group of anti-Canadians on this site that down-vote people who spell defense with a 'c'. /s
Next time, put QB in " " so we know it's not a real move to QB.

I don't appreciate your ruse, ma'am.

Any chance you work for Bleacher Report?

1.) Typically, a player being called the "quarterback of the defense" wouldn't be threadworthy. But if you want to start a thread about it, fine. If I don't want to read it, I won't click (as many point out). You, however,
2.) Title it "QB Peppers" obviously implying Peppers might take a few snaps at QB (my thought was, "huh, is he running a scout team practicing the spread? Wildcat?")... you know you created this implication because your first word after that was, "NO"
It's this sort of shit that, in my opinion, clutters the board with nonsense. Not a big deal, but mild annoyance. Hence, the downvotes.
Yes I agree with your second point here.

I am a hotdog. I eat myself all day.
April 15th, 2015 at 12:20 PM ^
I thought you had to have 500 points to start a thread? Maybe it is something to think about...

You should be downvoted for this, but I upvoted you for the Candian spelling "defence" #CFLFan

because I'm mellow that way.

So my edit will be a pic of Kate Upton:
if it was at least 3 times larger it would actually be about perfect.
a sarcastic shot at the horn-dogs who like sexybits.
"horn-dogs"
This made me laugh. Thank you

So here's a cat goalie
if I watch this enough times, one of them will get by this cat. Can he play goalie for the Wings?

No surprise at all to see it's everyone's favorite fluff writer.
April 15th, 2015 at 12:45 PM ^
Folks are getting upset over the former title, which I didn't see anyway, but the linked article calles him a 'defensive leader' which to me isn't much of a stretch to call him the QB of the defense. However, the fact that it called him a QB at all confused folks, causing them to downvote a misleading title...but given all the other QBs Michigan has on the roster, did you really think he was moving to that position? Really?
The article may have been a fluff piece, but it was somewhat informative, and definitely board worthy. Folks getting pissed about a bad post title but a decent article...seriously, lighten up would ya? Was your day ruined? Was this a total waste of your time to read the article? Live and learn, but quit your damn complaining about stupid shit. Save it for the trolls, which this guy obviously is not. Just a little perspective, please.

That the possibility of Jabrill at QB makes us all go "What?/!!? OK, yeah...cool....Let's try that!!!"
I can't even tell you how much this Jim Harbaugh thing needs to work out for all of us. We yearn for good football.
evidently there are many many people who'd rather stare at a static blog than be "misled" by a title. So fucking strange.
If you are going to down vote because of titles, fluff peices or what you deem to be OT then please start posting content of value.
when noobs post threads, they tend to get shit-banged, and it often has nothing to do with actual content of the OP. "Noobs must be punished for having the audacity to post a thread" seems to be the attitude. Seems unfair to me, but whatever.

Yep. I experienced this punishment last December. I had around 800 MGoPoints at the time.

It's not too shocking that the most talented player in years had the best spring.
But the guy is a RS frosh/sophomore working with a sort of new staff. The idea that someone this young would be the field general and brain trust for this very experienced defense really is kind of incredible.
What?
So much talent wasted.
Can't wait to watch him play for the next 2 years.
I expect this defense to be really strong this year - no excuses. Once we get healthy, Lyons and the freshman, we'll have no excuses not to be great. I don't know if we'll be elite, but we should be a great defense.
Offensively, it'll take some time, but I'm perfectly fine watching our defense win games.
