Not worthy of it's own thread but anyone paying attention to how Beilien is doing like beyond the Ws and Ls?  Any feeling from his pressers or media appearances that he's liking the NBA, frustrated with his team, energetic?

Just curious if anyone follows closely and has any insights.

EDIT: sorry, meant to reply to the above comment.

The Cavs are not a good team but the players are playing hard for JB. They're more well coached than last year. Tristian Thompson is having a career year. K-Love is having a strong year as well. The most important is the young guards that JB has to develop. They're still raw

So far, I've heard nothing but good things from the Cavs fans

Holy crap.  I haven't been following and just looked up Wagner's season stats thinking maybe that was a low sample (I didn't even realize he was traded to the Wiz).

It is indeed on only 27 attempts but he's having an insanely productive and efficient season on a per minute basis.  63% FGs, 48% 3s and 13 ppg in just 19 mpg.  22 PER.  Good for him.  Hope he keeps it up.

He's also listed on ESPN as a small forward, which like, he is and always has been a wing player and not a big but that's still funny he's listed as an NBA small forward.

well, insanely productive and efficient offensively...he's also committing 7.5 fouls per 36 minutes, which is a crazy high number.

not to knock him - he's one of my favorite players from the last few seasons - but most of that list is scrubs (and yes, i include dwight howard in that category).  he's going to need to tighten that up to stay in a rotation long-term.

not worthy of its own thread, but our friends at Elon university are playing academic fraud UNC...

and they are up 1 at the half, in raleigh-durham, 33-32.  go [insert whatever their mascot name is], beat the tar heels.

I think Duncan and his playing style has benefited from the less intense defending of the NBA and he isn't as affected as some other players are by being guarded by more elite athletes than regularly faced at the college level because he has the height/length to shoot over most of them. He also seemed to lose a bit of the touch on his jumpshot as an upperclassman at Michigan when he bulked up and became a better defender, but has seemingly gotten use to that extra muscle now. And he has of course continued to put in a ton of work toward his all-around game and maximizing his athleticism.

I'm guessing you have not played much BB. A couple things regarding NBA play. 1. The NBA offensive talent is stupendous...pretty much unstoppable in one-on-one situations. 2. Everyone on the floor can light it up-the defense has to pick its poison.

Duncan could always shoot the rock. In the NBA  he is clearly being given, pretty much, an unlimited green light...have to wonder what he would have done in college without a choke collar.

There are 429(!!!) players making more than him. There are only 450 players at any given time in the NBA. And this season only 424 players have even scored a single point.
