I don't mean to shit on the parade rout because I'm not really, but the LB tweet seems like it could be a nice way to motivate a young and inexperienced LB corps. Not that it isn't rooted in truth just that I've come to view many of a coach's off season comments as meant to target certain indivduals who could use and/or be motivated by such words. That is certainly not to say it isn't earned or deserved.

Did Harbaugh hype up anyone last year that didn't pan out? I remember people talking about Lawrence Marshall but don't recall if that was from Harbaugh himself. When Harbaugh really has praise for a guy, when he really singles out a guy doing well (not just agreeing someone is doing good when asked) he seems to really mean it. Andrew Luck before he even got started at Stanford, Peppers. Good sign to see him impressed with Peters.

The "Dude" / "Guy" decision tree and matrix - laid out nicely in Visio - has to be at least a +10,000 point proposition for the MGoUser who takes it on, but we would have to lay out some parameters like how many actual lanes, minimum number of decision diamonds, process boxes, etc..

Any thoughts, folks?

Part of me wishes it was "dudes" and "fellers." For some reason I see Don referring to "fellers" with a lot of frequency.

"You need a thing to make you a Guy." "Oh I have the thing that makes me a guy. Maybe even a guy and a half." One of my favorite Barney/Marshall exchanges.

I love it, anything to make football more fun.  If it proves to be motivating, so much the better.

So far it is really hard not to love this hire.
