Did anyone catch Steve Clark on Wtka this morning with Sam?

Submitted by chomz14 on
I was on my way to the east side and lost the end of it. I listened to his whole interview hoping I would get his prediction of the games (Michigan ND & Sharty and Oregon) and of course the signal went out. Anyways did anyone get his predictions? Just curious.

In the event that there is interest, here is the segment to which the OP refers - (LINK). Hopefully, the direct link to StationCaster works.

As a minor note to the OP -  "Sharty" and other such forms of unclever trolling are frowned on here, so please try not to use that term (or others in that category) in the future.

I think Michigan wins their game against ND.  Not sure if close or comfortable W, but W.

I'm really not sure about the Oregon game.  As noted elsewhere, Oregon has shown itself vulnerable to penetrating, disruptive defenses.  MSU has to bring its A game to this one.  Anything less and I think Oregon takes it; but if MSU brings it, then it can be MSU's W.

I'm basing my Oregon prediction on the fact that they are probably fed up with their struggles against teams like Stanford and are looking to get that monkey off their backs. They've heard that they can't win against power/physical teams and I think they will be ready to make a statement, especially at home. At least that's what I'm hoping.

I believe MSU can beat Oregon. Stanford does it yearly, and MSU is a lot like them. The Ducks mostly blow out scrub teams. The Spartans aren't scrubs.

UM really should beat ND, although it's usually a close game that can go either way. Comparing this match to the most recent one, one team lost a lot of key players, and the other didn't. And overall, UM dominated ND last year. Advantage Michigan.

I think MSU wins that game easily or in suffocatingly efficient fashion. The four quarter defense as the Spartans play it is ideal against spread teams. Unless you can go vertical against their safeties and run draw and screen action off if it or hit seam routes with impunity beating Sparty is tough. The really have built a very efficient defense tailor made for teams like Oregon.

If ND starts all of it's suspended players then they win most likely. The only chance michigan has is to throw early and often - pass to set up run.

The better the Big Ten looks, the better Michigan, which is a member of it, looks.  That's enough reason for me.

I want Sparty's loss to Michigan to be their first loss of the season.  That will make our win all the sweeter.  The image of the BiG is the greater reason for me to want MSU to win this weekend, though.

On one hand, the OP referred to MSU as "Sharty" which made me want to downvote the post.  On the other hand, the OP has left it up there and is taking his/her beating.  And "shart" is a funny word.

So, split decision, and no points awarded.
