Derrick Walton Fluff
An article by ESPN on Derrick Walton (not paywalled)
A pretty good article on what inspires Walton to succeed and a little bit of his past. I haven't seen anything like this on the board yet and it's a good read for anyone with some time.
Essentially, it's about how one of his good basketball friends died a few years back and that's what drives him now and why he wants to wear number 10.
a fluffy day, apparently
On mgoblog, most days are.
At least its better than hand fluff; I've got a long day of work ahead of me...
If you asked me what my favorite five letter mgoword is, I'd say HELLO instead of FLUFF.
but now i won't. because i know the answer already.
this guy is not funny, terrible comic.
Derrick Walton is soooooooo smooth wit it man....I can not wait for the patented John Beilein Sophomore Year Point Guard Leap that will turn "D-Nice" into the terror of the Big 10.
not Fluff.
Woah woah woah...are you telling me Stauskas is more than just a shooter!?
Drink!
Not just a shooter!
It's amazing to me how mature some of these young guys seem.
cannot wait to watch him on the court running the floor, with Spike Almighty, obviously, HAIL!
"And when Walton Jr. thinks about what he can try to bring to Michigan immediately, it is leadership he points to. The basketball will come. He knows he will make some mistakes. He knows no matter what he does, he'll be compared by outsiders to Burke."
Someone that seems to bring the intensity and motivation that Walton displays in highlights and interviews will probably end up being a team leader and a good one at that. Someone mentioned it as well, but I really like how level-headed and mature Walton seems in all the interviews that he has given. The story behind his number and why he plays with the drive that he does was very moving as well.
This was a good read, OP. Thanks for sharing.
Rothstein is creepy as hell.
I will admit when Morris left early for the league I was worried. Trey came in and almost immediately took over the reins. Now with Walton and Spike they will push each other to be their best. I like how down to earth Walton is. Let's just say I'm not worried about the point.
