Darius rarely tweets, but I follow him for times such as these.

Darius needs to develop his jumpshot along with a left hand. He can drive in the lane in College but once he gets to the NBA getting to the basket won't nearly be the same and I could see him quickly flaming out. The kid has great passing abilities but, I just think he needs another year, hopefully, for M, 2 before he is NBA ready.

but the question is - would he be better of doing that as a full-time professional, with coaches focused on just him and his development, while he gets paid to do it, or would he be better off waiting another year in college.

No one knows the answer of course, but theres a strong argument that playing and practicing against the best would develop his career fastest.

Most rookies aren't 'NBA ready' when they enter the league.

The big issue is whether or not a pro team would have the patience to let him develop.  If he's a first-round pick, they're on the hook for four years, so they have no choice.  But if he's a second-rounder (which is more likely), they can just cut him if he's not ready to contribute off the bat.

Even in the "developmental league," coaches don't spend as much time developing players' individual skills as they do in college.  An unfinished product with potential such as Morris is better served staying in school one more year.  I would love to see him stay two, but it is probably a pipe dream.

He was so inspired by "The Butterfly" that he will honor Tim Doyle by growing that impressive mustache that Doyle was rocking for a couple of weeks?

With John Wall going up against Blake Griffin yesterday, I was going to start a NBA rookie of the year thread, but figured nobody would be interested. I am hoping Darius tweets his choice for ROY. It will be tough for Darius but I guess he would go for Wall. Me, I'm picking Blake Griffin. Anyone who can dunk on Novak like that gets my vote.

Maybe he's just going to be tweeting a lot about the Tourney games since this is the first day of games since we got knocked out? Hope so

I think there is no news. I think he's just going to be tweeting today, which he normally doesn't, and said something interesting might happen because MAYBE it will. I don't think he'll be tweeting any news. Take that for what it's worth, but that's my 2 pennies.

I said, "Somebody on MGoBoard is going to have an MGoFreakout over this."

People, relax. Normally he retweets inspirational posts from another person. Today, he may actually tweet his own stuff.

and "Precious Bodily Fluids" would be my picks...

So anyway it's just past 5:00 on Darius' Day of Significant Tweeting.  Is he ordering the cup of soup, or the house salad?  Either one comes with the entree.

One of the great things about MGoBlog is that so many of you guys follow Michigan athletes' Tweet-feeds, so guys like me don't have to.  And I thank you.
