the opening announcer just called the #7 national seed Louisville the "Cinderella " of the tournament...SAY WHAT? Michigan one of the last 4 in..on the road at the defending national Champs park, then On the roadbeating the #1 TWICE... beating the #8 seed TWICE ..into the Championship series yet Louisville is the Cinderella??? Good Grief...

Have no clue about other CWS teams. How do Michigan's starters match up against these teams in a 3 game series? (All I know about this Michigan team is they have brass balls)
Michigan’s starters can match up with anyone. Bullpen is another story. The more vandy has the pitch the better.
Vandy pitching is on a different level. They pump out MLB pitchers all the time and have a freshman who could easily be the #1 pick in a couple years. That said, he's still a freshman.
Can they both lose?

Baseball broadcasts inherently have a lot of time to fill, so they can get kinda weird. Sometimes it works, sometimes it does not.
Baseball/softball have more participation than any other team sport in America. Youth baseball participation is up like 14% over 3 years ago. Right now football and, perhaps strangely, soccer are the sports seeing a mass exodus in the US.
Not really strange that soccer participation is limping along, as it is mirroring the USMNT. Saturated with politics and still allowing money to be one of the chief metrics of team selection.

I was just about to say the same thing. If he was a batter, he would have been plunked a couple of times already. If they send him out in the 9th and Vanderbilt hits a home run, the bat flip is going to be insane.
