Currently at #2 on 247 Composite Team ranks for '16
I like 247 composite best as it rolls in all the services into 1 place.
We have the most 'croots so its a bit deceiving as I believe teams are graded on the top 20 'croots and teams around us only have 17 while we are >20 but I'll take it anyway. Should end up 5-7 in the end. Ave rank should pop over 89 with Gary.
Ahmir says we still have 1 more this week so should pop us to #1 at least for a hot minute. (Please be Long)
Thankfully a staff that can develop them as well nowadays.

This is a great class that's poised to get even stronger. And to think we'll get even better classes in the future once we start regularly competing for national championships. The present and future are as bright as they've ever been.
December 17th, 2015 at 1:51 PM ^
Once we restore the proper order against OSU and beat Urban Meyer. Until that happens, I'm not going to get my hopes up like I did post-2011 season.

If you can't see the difference between Hoke and Harbaugh, then I can't help you.

Another gif that never gets old. Especially love the dual looks on Harbaugh's face/torpedos.

So who is that under the winged helmet? Hackett? Schlissel?

3 down like i said, you guys just don't know one... And another is near (; Dj Khaled- Another One

... so I take this to mean 2 out of 3 have dropped -- we just don't know about a third that is going to. On top of that, there is ANOTHER one who's close to dropping. Is that how others have interpretted these words? It's like Bible study trying ot get at the true meaning of these critical tweets.
December 17th, 2015 at 1:40 PM ^
No - just the 1st part of your statement.
1 more this week.
he said 3 will drop this week Monday I believe. 2 down, 1 to go.
December 17th, 2015 at 2:42 PM ^
If there are "three down" and we don't "know one," that makes three commits.
Another coming makes it four.
You could be right, but I don't think so based on what he's saying here.
But feel free to neg me for over-analyzing a recruit's tweet.
December 17th, 2015 at 3:18 PM ^
Only if you use King James try the NIV instead.
December 17th, 2015 at 2:29 PM ^
Yeah, I think he is talking about four commits. He said three down (including one silent commit), and then a fourth one thinking about committing.
I wonder if he knows about how DJ Khaled got lost at sea? http://www.usmagazine.com/celebrity-news/news/dj-khaled-got-lost-on-a-j…

#1 on Scout
#2 on Rivals behind the cheaters from the grove.
December 17th, 2015 at 2:31 PM ^
Dele' Harding is still in the class on scout or we'd be number 2, interesting
December 17th, 2015 at 3:42 PM ^
These teams have literally 1-2 players committed at this time? I guess I never look at the lowest rated teams, but.....
What happens to them? Is this a trickle down effect? How can they attract players?
Obviously this is why they are bad!
December 17th, 2015 at 1:16 PM ^
That Chase Allen meltdown thread seems so long ago now.
December 17th, 2015 at 1:17 PM ^
And if Rashan Gary commits that's gonna..ooooooooooooooh!

Avatar is quite fitting.
December 17th, 2015 at 1:18 PM ^
Daym 6 more recruits than OSU and still behind em. Guess it can also bring down the average too.
December 17th, 2015 at 1:21 PM ^
OSU's last 3 classes are basically Bama. Their 2017 class is already ridiculous, I think two 5* already in it. And 5 of the top 100 playes in country.
We need to build an army. We are.
December 17th, 2015 at 4:07 PM ^
I was looking at the CBS ranking of NFL entry draft prospects for this year. OSU has 15 prospects currently listed as draft eligible, with 11 of those ranked in the top 300 (i.e., expected to be drafted). Michigan has 10 prospects, none expected to be drafted. While you can nitpick the CBS individual estimates, it's clear we have a lot of catching up to do. But, we're headed in the right direction at last. GO BLUE!!!
December 17th, 2015 at 2:43 PM ^
Michigan has some extremely low rated guys on the bottom of the class that many will most likely end up greyshirting or decommiting. The additional recruits are not adding much of anything in terms of the class rating as they are extremely low rated. Michigan has 13 4 star players, OSU has 11-4 stars and 2 5 stars so the classes are really close in quality.

December 17th, 2015 at 1:19 PM ^
Big classes are good, especially since we'll have a lot of talent to replace going into 2017.
December 17th, 2015 at 1:19 PM ^
Of our top targets, which have declared their announcement dates?
December 17th, 2015 at 1:22 PM ^
Jean Delance is announcing at the UA game on Jan. 2. Not sure about anyone else.
December 17th, 2015 at 1:22 PM ^
I don't know of anyone planning to commit this week that is likely to pick Michigan. Chris Daniels is announcing tomorrow, but he's probably picking Oklahoma. Lavert Hill and Donnie Corley were supposed to announce this week, but that appears not to be happening now and they'll string it out longer. So if someone is announcing for Michigan this week, it's looking like it will be somewhat of a surprise.
December 17th, 2015 at 1:43 PM ^
Yep - and Ahmir seems to imply we dont expect the 3rd guy so maybe Fuller or Long? Fuller from NJ so fits that way - many have conceded him to OSU so that would be a fun one to finish off the week. I'd love either ....at major positions of need for 2017.
December 17th, 2015 at 3:25 PM ^
Taking 2 commits from osu would be an amazing week of recruiting alone.
December 17th, 2015 at 2:09 PM ^
The Corley/Hill thing is one trying to recruit the other to "their" school? I could see Corley trying to convince Hill but from everything I have read it doesn't seem like we have much of a chance with Corley.

Someone tell Nauta he could be the first TE* to win a Heisman if he comes to Michigan.
* No idea if this is true.
December 17th, 2015 at 1:24 PM ^
It's true. The only position groups to win a Heisman are people classified as RB, QB, WR, and 1 DB (I here he is a pretty cool dude, btw).
December 17th, 2015 at 1:47 PM ^
There's no way a DB has ever won the Heisman.
December 17th, 2015 at 2:18 PM ^
you don't use one of these "/s". Surely, you were being sarcastic.
December 17th, 2015 at 8:50 PM ^
because everyone knows there have been plenty of Douche Bags that have won the Heisman.
December 17th, 2015 at 2:45 PM ^
Hoping you were awkwardly insinuating Dave Brandon.
December 17th, 2015 at 2:45 PM ^
Consarnit.
December 17th, 2015 at 5:53 PM ^
It's false. Jake Butt will win it next year. Then Nauta will win it.
December 17th, 2015 at 1:20 PM ^
Another thing to keep in mind is that all those 3 stars are guys that Harbaugh and the staff id'ed, WANTED, and offered pretty darn early ahead of the pack. In other words they aren't generic three stars poached last second from MAC schools to round out the class after missing on others. They were deemed good fits and useful CLAY for the coaches to mold. It's possible they appreciate in starz value as well before NSD. Either way, this class is looking BEAST and likely will get even better on the top end.
December 17th, 2015 at 1:21 PM ^
Ole Miss being number three is sooo bagman of them.
December 17th, 2015 at 5:52 PM ^
Outside of our direct rivals I don't know that there is a team I enjoy watching lose more than Ole Miss.
December 17th, 2015 at 5:58 PM ^
And how the fuck does Penn State still recruit?
December 17th, 2015 at 1:21 PM ^
This is a great class right now and possible future commits could make it even better. Could end up being one of, if not the best recruiting class in Michigan history. Go Blue!
December 17th, 2015 at 2:54 PM ^
The best by far was the class after the '97 NC. We had the #1 or #2 player in each position for something like 5 positions. That class went on to beat Ohio State (of course) and Alabama in the Orange Bowl.

Not happening beacuse no one can remember their head coach's name (click for the lulz; didn't want to post an MSU thread, but someone had to put this on the board):
@JordanDoddie Our fault. We're re-printing. As you might imagine, I don't write or see covers before printing ... the story has it correct.
