Crystal Ball to UM for '17 QB McCaffrey

Submitted by jbibiza on

I know it's crazy early to get too excited about 2017 recruits, but Steve Lorenz just put in a crystal ball for Dylan McCaffrey, and Lorenz is pretty reliable. The kid has already visited twice and his gene pool speaks for itself. Perhaps his dad feels that the best path to get a QB prepared for the NFL runs through Ann Arbor. Highlights:

Wayyyyyyyy too early but I like that Steve thinks this could go our way.  Still give Stanford the edge in this race but hopefully Harbaugh can pull it out.  Highlights are impressive.

And, for reference, I'll add that Brandon Peters committed last year on April 3rd, so definitely not too early to talk '17 QBs. Don't know why Stanford isn't going after him, being a legacy and all. Maybe they think they can get in late if need be? Anyway, this is good news for us because I respect the hell out of Steve Lorenz's ballz.

Is exactly what I have been reading, as well.  He plans to commit in the next couple of months, so this IS big news and definitely thread worthy.

Hmmmm, why was it that I joined MGoBlog again?  Yep, to get the latest information regarding all things Michigan.  GoBLUE!!

I realize we are still in the 2016 cycle, but QB prospects often commit early so they can help recruit for their teams.  So this ballz may not actually be as early as it seems.

Ed had one of the most memorable badass blocks in a Superbowl that I remember.

He's even pointing at the guy while sliding on the ground LOL.

If Dylan's got 20% of the toughness his pops and brother have, then fuck yeah we want him!

Long way to go for 2017 kids but the QB competition if he does indeed sign with Michigan is going to be crazy, including O'Korn, Peters, Speight, Malzone, and Gentry.
